You say, “Being from Chicago, I am used to gyros that are packed so high with meat that you have to eat half the meat before you can make a sandwich out of it, and Christos does it just like that. I honestly think Christos has even better gyros than the ones I used to get when I lived up north.” and “Wonderful, mouthwatering meat and the best dressing you will ever have. Yummo!”

The AJC dining team’s Popular Eats specialist Jon Watson says, “Cafe Agroa, with its friendly and eccentric owner, consistently serves up my favorite gyro in town. While the prices seem to change depending on the day of the week, a trip to Buckhead for one of these no-fuss, classic gyros is certainly worth it.”

Of course Nick’s to go… come on people! You obviously haven’t had the gyro from Nick’s! The gyro is heavenly, both the lamb and chicken. Actually I have not eaten at any place here in the US that got the chicken gyro remotely right. When I miss home, I just swing by Nick’s and get my fix

The best place in town to get the Gyro is BY FAR Athens Pizza in Decatur, off Clairmont Rd. I travel to Atlanta often for work and no matter where I am in conjunction to Athens Pizza, I ALWAYS stop to eat there. The authentic feel of being in Greece combined with the amazing taste of food is out of this world. The Gyro that Mrs. P. makes is just like the ones I eat when I travel abroad to Greece. Not to mention the other dishes in the restaurant are top notch. I highly recommend the Gyro at ATHENS PIZZA to anyone in the Atlanta area. If I can travel from Florida just to eat one, then you should make the 25 minute drive to try it for yourself!!!

Christos in Marietta off of Terrell Mill and Powers Ferry Rd has the best gyros in Atlanta without a question. Being from Chicago, I am used to gyros that are packed so high with meat that you have to eat half the meat before you can make a sandwich out of it, and Christos does it just like that. I honestly think Christos has even better gyros than the ones I used to get when I lived up north. My fiance and I eat here a few times a month. It’s family owned and the customer service is top notch!

Athens Pizza in Decatur! Their Tzatziki is probably the best in the city, and they actually give you a great sized portion, and don’t skimp on anything! They’ve been doing it right for 35 years now

Love Grecian Gyro – a lot of people here are calling it Nick’s – he’s the founder but they are the folks in Hapeville (on Virginia Ave), in John’s Creek, in Tucker and Forest Park.
