1. Buford Highway Farmers Market
We say, “Looking for an unusual herb, vegetable or fruit? You just might find it at the Buford Highway Farmers Market. If you’re looking for a wide variety of apples or potatoes, they have that, too. The prices are reasonable and the selection is amazing, no matter the season.”

Farmers’ Market in Marietta Square is good for strolling, but short on actual variety of produce. Lately the Marietta market has added “gourmet” booths and fluff offerings, so many locals go up the street a way to Burger’s Market on Canton Road for fresh vegetables. It’s been around much longer, is family run, and really brings in the fresh goods with great flavor. My favorite is their shelled peas — usually can find about 6-8 varieties ready to cook for dinner.

State Farmers’ Market in Forest Park for widest variety at good prices; Raymond’s fruit and vegetable stand at corner of Ponce and Moreland for basics like tomatoes, peaches, melons, cucumbers, silver queen corn and shucked field peas and limas.

Dekalb Farmer’s Market? Really? Every time go there the produce, especially the greens, are so limp and wilted.

Buford Highway Farmer’s Market is always much fresher and usually more selections. Where else are you going to find four different types of chives, six different bananas, heck, even more than one type of cactus?

Should be the best, but very well might be the worst – “Farmers Market Baskets” in Kennesaw. Great concept, but whiffs on the opportunity. Never, ever, got a fresh tomato there and you would think that would be a calling-card. Other stuff should be much better, but is not. Better off paying for “My Produce Guy” if you can’t go to DeKalb, Harry’s, etc…

Dekalb Farmers’s Market is incredible but due to the size it is difficult to locate local food.

Burgers Market on Old Canton Hwy 5 in Marietta has local fresh everything and the staff is great

Straight out of the garden but barring that then I would say BHFM. YDFM a close second. Not, I repeat NOT, Whole Foods. Overpriced and the produce seems to get worse and worse every year – at least at the Harry’s in Alpharetta. Boy, I miss Harry Blazer and the quality he demanded.

Sandy Springs Farmers Market has great selection, but you have to get there early, as word has gotten out. The South Carolina peaches and the tomato guy are standouts there. Riverview Farms CSA and also their Farm Mobile truck have wonderful, fresh, local veggies.

Burgers Market on Old Canton Hwy 5 in Marietta has everything and the staff is great, Know the Burgers for years and they have the Freshest Produce around. If you are looking for Canned goods like Pickled Okra, Pickled Onions, Salsas, Corn Relish, and even Soup Stock. They have it all. Everything comes from Local Growers.
You can’t get any better then Burgers Open Air Market in Marietta, Ga.

Burgers Market on Highway 5 in Marietta. Hands Down. Prices are very reasonable. Never bought anything that was not fresh. Beats Harry’s all to pieces. I never shop anywhere else for produce. The owners are incredible. You feel like you “have come home” from the time you walk in the door. Tina Burger Berry is on top of the game. You feel like you are the most important customer to have ever walked through the door. Greeted with a hug and are always asked if you found everything. Love that place.

I suspect some ballot stuffing from a certain Canton Rd shop in Marietta. They should be disqualified simply for using the “hands down” hack. No, I will not put my hands down for you!
Best consistently good produce is Super H-Mart, and in the spring/summer the Peachtree Rd Farmer’s Market in Buckhead. I also enjoy Fresh Market in Buckhead, I always find something nice there.
