You say, “Really- Smoothie King is by far the best. No contest. Discussion over” and “Smoothie King off Flat Shoals Parkway. There’s a kid in there that makes the best concoction. Absolutely delicious. I don’t go in to get one unless he’s working that day.”

OUR PICKS
1. Nectar
The AJC dining team’s specialist in Southern and Neighborhood Fare Jenny Turknett says, “At Nectar, build your own smoothie, choosing from a number of bases, fruits and healthful mix-ins. Or, choose one of Nectar’s predesigned Mega Smoothies. My guilty pleasure here is the sweet and smooth Nutella smoothie with banana and soy or almond milk. You might almost convince yourself that this sweet treat is healthy. At least the products here contain no added sugars, no high fructose corn syrup and no canned products.”

I make smoothie with soy almond milk mixed with one banana, one table spoon of non-sodium peanut butter and one tea spoon of Flax seed. I sometimes add oats.

Tropical Smoothie – yum, yum. Dare I mention the sandwiches – Jamaican Jerk Chicken wrap!

I believe I have tried every smoothie on the menu – favorites are: sunrise-sunset, strawberry beach, mango magic, kiwi quencher, paradise point.

Connie, unless you’re making them for anybody who shows up at your home, your comment is inappropriate. We are to nominate businesses that make smoothies for the PUBLIC, not your personal recipe.

Get Fruity Cafe! Just opened in a tiny space on Marietta Street in downtown Atlanta. Smoothies are not necessarily my thing, but theirs are very good.

if you haven’t tried it don’t laugh but the pineapple mango smoothie at mcdonald’s is terrific and much cheaper than the smoothie joints plus it doesn’t taste like artificial flavorings like some of the higher priced ones.

All About Health in Woodstock is AMAZING. They use all natural ingredients and fruit. Their Elvis (peanut butter, chocolate, banana) is a great smoothie for taste AND for protein after a work out.

My votes go to (1) Arden’s Garden where they use 100% fresh juice and fruit. (2) Lottafrutta where not only can you get fresh juice smoothies, but their fruit cups are excellent on a hot Spring/Summer day!

Unless you make it fresh, and from a FRESH, home grown stuff, it is no good. Additives, sugar, preservatives, food taste enhancers, other chemicals. Stuff @ McD? How stupid can you be? America = #1 in World colorectal cancer. You figure…

Smoothies & More on 2980 Cobb Parkway Suite 136 hands down has the best smoothies in town not only because they use only REAL fruit for there smoothies and no High Fructose Corn Syrup stuff in their smoothies. But, the staff is what makes this a REAL Jewel… They also feature Edy’s soft service yogurt which is the real deal…

Whole Foods in Buckhead just launched a line of green smoothies – sampled several the other day and they were great! R. Thomas has a few really good ones too – some with coconut keifer. Arden’s Gardens is good too – wish they would expand their green smoothie line – lots of potential there.
