1. Six Feet Under
You say, “Six Feet Under – both locations have great views. The first – historic Oakland Cemetery and the second has a view of Downtown, Midtown and Buckhead. Great food and drinks as well.”

OUR PICKS
1. Park Tavern
The AJC dining team’s Popular Eats specialist Jon Watson says, “There are few patios in Atlanta that offer the kind of view afforded by Park Tavern overlooking Piedmont Park. On a sunny spring afternoon, the Park Tavern is a great spot to enjoy the outdoors and offers some great people watching as Atlantans flock to the park to soak up the nice weather.”

Not a specific restaurant, but I’ll say Broad Street in downtown Atlanta during the lunch rush is pretty nice. Several decent lunch options right there including Dua, Ali Baba’s, Tin Drum, and Rosa’s Pizza. Sticking with the downtown theme, Googie Burger in Centennial Olympic Park has good outdoor seating, and the food trucks on Wednesday afternoons that gather near Five Points is always fun.

I have to say that Midway Pub’s outdoor area is fantastic. I live in Buckhead by Vinings. Yes Canoe is great, I suppose Ray’s is in that category, etc. But I like an everyday type of place where I can seize the opportunity of sitting outside on a beautiful afternoon after work.

When the weather is great, and even not-so-great, and we want to eat outside in a relaxed, outdoor spacious space, with good drinks and food – we do the drive to the Midway Pub.

MMMmmmm....Food!

See! A city this size and we only have a 54 suggestions for a handful of joints! We should have tons of great outdoor dining!

People who respond “my house” to these topics deserve to have their genitals mangled by a rabid german shepherd at a dog-friendly restaurant.

Cross Creek Restaurant is one of the best kept secrets…. Very large deck overlooks 2 lakes, almost the entire golf course, and there are no visible cars or “city noise”. Great place to watch the sunset as well… Course has been under new management and is pristine. I wish I could post a picture!!!

Goldbergs – Johnson Ferry in Marietta and Roswell Rd in Sandy Springs, and DOGS can eat on the patios.
The porch at Taqueria Del Sol on Westside
Marietta Pizza on SQ – even though you’re on a sidewalk at a corner of 2 streets, it’s really fun to watch the goings on at the Marietta SQ on a nice, cool evening.

has to be fairly cool to get me to sit outside however. Dream is to live in N Calif, where the temperate weather is so conducive to outdoor eating.
