Chief Dining Critic  John Kessler says, “Woo Nam Jeong’s signature is rice with toppings (bi bim bap) cooked in the superheated stone bowl called a dolsot. I can’t imagine a better version than the one here, with its perfectly supple and snow-white fried egg atop a rainbow spiral of mixed vegetables and finely shredded beef.

Performing arts, family, recreation: The Shriners have put together 10 days of family fun in the annual Yaarab Shrine Circus and Carnival, which combines a carnival midway with daily circus shows. It runs April 27 through May 6 at Marietta’s Jim R. Miller Park.

Stage: The North Fulton Drama Club presents a steampunk take on the Bard’s sea-centric “The Tempest.” It opens April 27 and continues through May 12. at Barrington Hall in Roswell.

Stage: The musical “Les Miserables,” based on the tale of poverty and redemption by Victor Hugo, returns to the Fox Theatre through April 29.

Stage: Act3 Productions presents “Steel Magnolias,” Robert Harling’s beloved tale of strong Southern women, in the company’s Sandy Springs home April 27 through May 6.

Festival: The Dunwoody Preservation Trust presents its annual Lemonade Days fundraiser, which features carnival rides and games, live entertainment and a bicycle ride around Dunwoody. The fest continues through April 22 at Brook Run Park.

Festival: This weekend marks the 76th edition of the Atlanta Dogwood Festival, the city’s signature springtime event. Piedmont Park will be packed with people, art, crafts, music and more. It begins at noon April 20 and continues at 10 a.m. April 21 and 22.
