Benchwarmers off Clairmont. When your alone your normal. And they let you smoke inside too! If Pirates Pub was still open that would’ve been top choice. Better food and 3 to one waiter to customer ratio was unbeatable!

Anytime I eat alone, I must have a newspaper to read. I like to sit at the bar and enjoy a cold beer with my meal (usually a good burger). I’m not a big fan of talking while I eat, thus the newspaper requirement.

La Parilla at the Forum in Norcross. Sitting at their bar is the perfect place for a great meal and a margarita.

I often hit Sangrias Mexican Restaurant in Tucker. The staff is very friendly and ready to chat or to leave you alone which ever you prefer. Also, a few different seating options from patio to bar so you feel pretty comfortable.

The downstairs bar at 5 Seasons Westside. I always seem to get much better service sitting at the bar than at a table. The extensive specials menu changes daily so you are never stuck with the same old “go with what you know” options. The food is excellent and comes out of the kitchen quickly. The seafood is always cooked to perfection (a personal requirement to make a list like this one) and you are likely to get a visit from Chef Dave or Brew Master Crawford discuss the food and beer. Did I mention beer? The absolute best overall of any brewery restaurant in Atlanta and it is constantly evolving so you never get bored with the selections. Only mark against this place is the satellite radio classic rock that always seems to be playing when I go there. Talk about tired same ol’ same ol’. I wish the music was as eclectic and interesting as the food and beer.

Apres Diem in Midtown! Went there after an event to have a drink on a Wednesday and sat in the back room on the couches with table and candles, then found out Wednesday’s they have live Jazz music. Had some wine with some food and just let go of any stress I had. Unexpected & really nice evening

The bar at Young Augustine’s in Grant Park. Eclectic B-movies on one TV, sports on another, great food (I’m looking at you short rib grilled cheese), great service (Shout out to Sam, Joe, and Jerome), and great selection of tasty brews. One hour and one beer has turned into several many a time.

That is a great question. I really like it. Eating alone, I do it. The best place is home. However dining out, Waffle House is good, they have a friendly greeting when you walk in. Of course upscale, the Rib Joint on Peachtree st.makes me feely comfy and cared for.
