You say, “Chevy’s Diner in McDonough makes the best burger! Old Blue Eyes is a half pound of awesome-ness with two pieces of thick cut bacon and bleu cheese crumbles.. There’s something about the seasonings they use in the freshly made patties, y’all. It’s just the best burger I’ve ever had!” and “Fantastic hunks of beef on enormous buns with fresh everything — This is the kind of hamburger that you crave and nothing else will do until you can get back over to Chevy’s.”

The AJC dining team’s Popular Eats specialist Jon Watson says, “Chef Todd Ginsberg’s burger at Bocado, a double stack of house-ground farm-raised beef, American cheese and house-made pickles served on an H&F bun, stands out amongst the many contenders for Atlanta’s best burger. Ginsberg’s simple preparation and attention to quality ingredients makes this the strongest offering of its kind in town.”

The best burgers in Atlanta? Try the best burgers EVER.

Chevy’s Diner and Pub in McDonough.

Better than the Vortex, better than Flip, and better than all those little hip gastropubs popping up all over the metro Atlanta area.

Seriously. They need to win.

Wow, just read a lot of previous posts. Not sure why all of the bashing but definately not deserved. I used to live inside the Perimeter and loved the whole set-up at the newest US Cafe in Buckhead. Great burgers, a chill place to watch sports, and a neat spot to play pool and have a beer. Haven’t been to Chevy’s or Googie’s.

Muss & Turner’s for sit-down restaurant (Holeman & Finch burger is excellent, but too hard to get)
Farm Burger for casual restaurant
Yeah! Burger bison burger for alternative meat, I don’t care for their beef burger, but the bison is flavorful and properly cooked.

All will cook the burger on the rare side of medium and have high-quality toppings that enhance the burger experience!

I’ve tried them all and without a doubt, the best burger in town can be found at “US Cafe” in Smyrna and Buckhead. Large, fresh, loaded and cooked to order. One of the few burger places where you can also get a beer!

Chevy’s Diner in McDonough is the bomb. As far as the flavor of the burger itself, I’ll take the Pepsi challenge all day long against the Vortex. Although I will concede that the Vortex has more specialty burger choices.

Mr. Obvious, you have no idea what you are talking about. You give the Vortex as an answer, because that is what “cool” people are supposed to say. I have been going to this place since it opened its doors and it has only gotten better. You are just one of those sad people that sit at a computer all day basing other people.

Gonzo, I’m with you.. I’ve never been to the Vortex, but I’ve been going to Chevy’s from the beginning. Love it. The owners (who don’t own other eating establishments, I might add) have put a lot of hard work into making Chevy’s so wonderful, from the food to the atmosphere. We ate there Tuesday night.. phenomenal! The only thing that would have been better would have been to go there on a Friday night when the Shoulderbone Creek Orchestra plays. So much fun!

Here’s a great review of Chevy’s.
