1. Chevy’s Diner
You say, “Chevy’s Diner in McDonough makes the best burger! Old Blue Eyes is a half pound of awesome-ness with two pieces of thick cut bacon and bleu cheese crumbles.. There’s something about the seasonings they use in the freshly made patties, y’all. It’s just the best burger I’ve ever had!” and “Fantastic hunks of beef on enormous buns with fresh everything — This is the kind of hamburger that you crave and nothing else will do until you can get back over to Chevy’s.”

OUR PICKS
1. Bocado
The AJC dining team’s Popular Eats specialist Jon Watson says, “Chef Todd Ginsberg’s burger at Bocado, a double stack of house-ground farm-raised beef, American cheese and house-made pickles served on an H&F bun, stands out amongst the many contenders for Atlanta’s best burger. Ginsberg’s simple preparation and attention to quality ingredients makes this the strongest offering of its kind in town.”

If you are not going to TED’S MONTANA GRILL for one of their juicy, scrumptious, savory, tasty, healthy Bison Burgers, you are not even trying.

Farm Burger is absolutely terrible. What is it with so many restaurants in Atlanta focusing on decor and menu fonts and stuff instead of the food?

I know it’s a chain and all… but really. The bison burgers at Ted’s Montana Grill are to die for. The peppercorn one in particular.

I haven’t had Holeman & Finch but I hear it’s pretty legendary. Grindhouse would be better if they didn’t have a sasquatch in the back mixing the meat with his bare (hairy) arms. Vortex is a cool in-the-city experience, but the burgers really aren’t that spectacular. Flip is good, but a little too frilly for my taste. I would say Smashburger is my favorite (great value too) followed by the burger at TAP (on Peachtree in midtown) with the fried egg on it.

In honor of the upcoming Valentine’s Day, if you truly love your significant other and want him/her to stick around and live for quite a bit longer, take your lover to TED’S for a heart-healthy, yet mouth-watering, Bison Burger on a warm, toasted Oatie Wheat Bun.

While you’re at it, the two of you can partner splurge by partnering your delectable Bison Burger with an order of fresh-cut, piping-hot, made-to-order sweet potato fries.

Yum!

The Ghetto Burger at Ann’s Snack Shop on Memorial Drive. Where else do you find people waiting an hour on a patio for a hand-made, double-patty burger with chili?

Hands down, the ‘House Grind’ burger at the Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta’s Burger Bar. The House Grind Burger has pimento cheese, a fried green tomato and chow chow! Diners can choose from four types of burgers with a choice of hand-cut French fries, sweet potato fries, loaded tater tots, poutine, or onion rings.

My family and I love Chevy’s in McDonough Square. They have the most delectable burgers! Burgers are made fresh daily, cooked to your order. The meat is top choice, tender and melts in your mouth. The “Old Blue Eyes” burger is definitely a winner with me! Chevy’s Forever!

Holeman and Finch, Farm Burger, Flip and Ms Ann’s are the best of….until we get a Shake Shack or In and Out. The Kenmore at Taco Mac isnt bad either. Shake Shack is the best, by a long long long shot.
