YOUR PICKS
1. Chevy’s Diner
You say, “Chevy’s Diner in McDonough makes the best burger! Old Blue Eyes is a half pound of awesome-ness with two pieces of thick cut bacon and bleu cheese crumbles.. There’s something about the seasonings they use in the freshly made patties, y’all. It’s just the best burger I’ve ever had!” and “Fantastic hunks of beef on enormous buns with fresh everything — This is the kind of hamburger that you crave and nothing else will do until you can get back over to Chevy’s.”

3. The Vortex
4. Farm Burger
5. George’s

OUR PICKS
1. Bocado
The AJC dining team’s Popular Eats specialist Jon Watson says, “Chef Todd Ginsberg’s burger at Bocado, a double stack of house-ground farm-raised beef, American cheese and house-made pickles served on an H&F bun, stands out amongst the many contenders for Atlanta’s best burger. Ginsberg’s simple preparation and attention to quality ingredients makes this the strongest offering of its kind in town.”

The best burger in metro Atlanta is any of the ones at The Grove in Decatur. Come to the Oak Grove area of Decatur and try one.

Try The burgers at ANN’s SNACK BAR on Memorial Drive (Kirkwood), if you pass the Checkers or the liquor store going east you passed it. The GHETTO BURGER or her other creations have to be seen to believe. GOOGLE Anns Snack Bar BEFORE you go or you may have a problem. You HAVE to eat at Ms Ann’s at least once before you die or she closes.

Don’t bother with Flip- way overrated. Instead, head to the Earl in East Atlanta or Village Burger in Dunwoody. For a chain, Houston’s puts out a pretty good burger.

I’d have to say Farm Burger, although I’d have to say there are some great recommendations on this list.

To the person who asked about Vortex – yes, they still use the standard, food distributor, frozen patties, that a thousand places in town utilize. That’s why the burgers have the rubbery, compressed into a machine-made perfect circle, look and feel. Vortex has a really cool atmosphere, but their burgers are mediocre on a good day.

Bocado and Holman & Finch have the best burgers in Atlanta and beyond! The blend of meats and the perfectly toasted bun put both of these burgers over the top!

There is a little known spot called infinity sports bar and grill off of Flat Shoals Road not too far from the Wal-Mart on Gresham Road, they have the best “Turkey Burgers” Hands down!!!!! As far as beefy burgers, the Vortex and Ann’s Snack house are at the top of the list.

Farm Burger, Flip, and Wrecking Bar get my votes.
(By the way, Manuel’s uses those pre-made rubbery patties, at least on their smaller burgers that I’ve tried.)

Anne’s Snack Shack: Ghetto Burger

It really is about the whole experience. Line is always out the door and the lady at the counter is probably the rudest server I have met. But it is in good fun and food. The burger is amazing and is enough to share.

As being a burger connoisseur and my dad loving burgers so….I think I have a very qualified opinion

HOLEMAN & Finch- This place takes the first FARM raised beef…homemade mayo,Ketchup, pickles and buns. EVERYTHING is made either her or farm raised w/o all of the injections. So This truly is the very best quality and taste of burger.

then
