You say, “I gotta tell ya, if you haven’t tried the Lobster bisque at the SteamHouse, you’re missing something……itz by far the best I’ve ever had and I’ve tried them all over the world…..huge chunks of lobster meat and a very well kept secret ingredient that separates itself from the others!!”

OUR PICKS

The AJC dining team’s specialist in Southern and Neighborhood Fare Jenny Turknett says, “Prepare to dig in and sit for awhile with the kal bi tang (short rib soup) at this unassuming spot in a Marietta strip mall. Don’t rush through this bowl of steaming hot broth or you’ll miss that it slowly becomes richer as you draw the tender meat from its bone. So rich, in fact, that you won’t look to the small crock of salt served on the side for flavor.”

Souper Jenny is overrated and overpriced. Look past the catchy name and it’s really not that good.

French onion at Bone’s, Split Pea at Tavern at Phipps or Pho at Pho&Com in Roswell are all terrific
