The AJC dining team’s specialist in International Cuisine Gene Lee says, “This cozy Emory coffee bar puts out a stellar product prepared with intelligence using Intelligentsia brand coffee beans. Each coffee is prepared individually and with devices resembling something from high school chemistry. But fear not, this is one fine cup of robust coffee. And also try the velvety-brown Americano; it rivals anything I had in San Francisco.”

McDonald’s has good coffee, but I wish they would give individual creamers like they used to. That way we can add as much or as little as we want. Also, the McDonald’s in Times Square uses real buttter for their pancakes ; why can’t the ones in Georgia do the same?

I’m still a fan of Starbucks. I don’t do the fancy drinks, either just the Venti bold blend of the day or a Venti Americano with an extra shot.

Cafe Campesino, Sweet Auburn Market Atlanta location.

Just wondering: is Counter Culture the best coffee because it is, or because it is the most expensive and, therefore, it must be the best. Wonder if there was a blind tasting what the results would be.

Clifton Santuary Ministrey. They save my life from the hardship of the street. They took my house after I had a slite problem with a casino in “Mississippi.” If the lotto had not got me hook on gamblin I would have not been hook on “cokaine” per say. I still regret hurting that girl who was a quote un quote lady of the night but I cant live in the past now more. I think she forgive me. But the coffee at Clifton Santuary make me think of getting my life back on trax so it was the best coffee not just in Atlanta but in the world.

For the best, most consistent, and reliable cup of coffee anywhere (not just Atlanta) it’d Dunkin Donuts for me. Better than McDs, Waffle House, QT or any of the other fast food chains (although Chick-Fil-A coffee is close). When I want to pay more than a couple of dollars, I prefer Caribou over Starbucks. Some of the other places sound great – the coffee is best when roasted on premise and ground before brewing, but I’m not anywhere near any of the other places involving monkeys or goats.

Hey Fred,
Only thing better than mess hall coffee was coffee in the field. Stuff the grounds in a sock & boil it in a steel pot till it reaches the proper octane. Ummmmm.
