OUR PICKS
1. Pine Street Market
The AJC dining team’s specialist in Southern and Neighborhood Fare Jenny Turknett says, “Pine Street Market is my go-to place for sausage. Their products contain no filler, only locally sourced pork and seasonings. It’s the smooth texture and the intensely rich pork flavor of the sausage at Pine Street that secures my vote. While they offer an array of seasonal flavors, the roasted-poblano remains my favorite.”

DeKalb Farmers Market sells Patak sausages, among other brands. Do they make their own in-house? I’ve also seen Patak products at Harry’s Farmers Market and Buford Highway Farmers Market, of course with jacked up prices.

Been meaning to try Weiners but haven’t gotten out there yet.

Patak Meat in Austell makes the world’s best sausages (and bacons)! You can’t talk about sausages until you’ve tasted theirs.

Going to Patak’s is like going to a strip bar for foodies. Best sausages and salamis I’ve had since I was in Europe.

Dalia’s Chicken Suasage on Moreland in East Atlanta. It’s new in town but wow they can make some really good chicken sausages. I prefer the Italian or the Krispi Kreme (yep, they slice a krispi kreme donut in half grill it then slap a patty on it w cherry cream cheese) is out of this world heavenly. Open late night & for breakfast. Dalia’s Chicken Sausage has been open 6 months or so & the word is finally getting out. Don’t let the location of silly building scare you away. It’s actually out of site food & simple concept. Their hand cut fries and frozen sweet tea & lemonade are a MUST to complete your dining experience. Open late too (3am) Trust me…. I be knowin… it’s da FIRE!!!! Don’t take my word for it…. try it yourself!!! Don’t forget the comeback sauce either!!! http://www.thesausagestand.com

Patak’s is hands-down the best in town. Hunter sausage is addictive. However, more locally, cause it’s a haul out there, the homemade hot dog with homemade bun/pickle/mustard at Local Three is pretty amazing!

Dekalb Farmer’s Market has awesome fresh sausage made right there on sight. The chicken chirizo, chicken tomato and feta, and the hot italian pork sausages are staples in our household. No matter what we are grilling that day (burgers, chicken, steak) we always throw some of these on there for good measure.
