Visual arts: The 18th annual Folk Fest brings work from more than 100 galleries from across the country to the North Atlanta Trade Center in Norcross. Take a look at our guide to some of the things you’ll find at Folk Fest.

FRIDAY
Stage: “Designing Women Live” returns  for another installment of the Process Theatre Company’s hilarious fundraising effort, in which men (including local actor and playwright Topher Payne) portray the ladies of Sugarbaker Designs in stage adaptation of scripts from the beloved Georgia-based sitcom. The show runs Aug. 11 through  Aug. 14 at OnStage Atlanta in Decatur.

Comedy: Two members of Canadian sketch comedy outfit Kids in the Hall, Scott Thompson and Kevin McDonald, bring their live show to the Punchline in Sandy Springs Aug. 11 and 12.

Stage: Theatre in the Square presents “On Golden Pond,” best known from the film version with Henry Fonda and Katharine Hepburn. The show continues through Sept. 11 at the company’s home on the square in Marietta.
