1. Holiday Package Store
You say, “Holiday Wine and Spirits without a question – anytime that I am having a party, my first stop is here. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and courteous – not to mention the wide variety of quality products and great prices.
2. Green’s
3. Total Wine
4. Tower
5. Toco Giant
Tower, with locations on Buford Highway and Piedmont Road, is our pick for best liquor store in and around Atlanta. Photo: Hyosub Shin, hshin@ajc.com
OUR PICKS
1. Tower
The AJC dining team’s Popular Eats specialist Jon Watson says, “For the best overall selection of beer, wine, and liquor, it is tough to beat Tower’s sprawling inventory. For a store their size, I’m always impressed by the depth of their stock, including hard-to-find liquors and craft beers.”
2. Total Wine
3. Green’s
4. Sherlock’s
5. Pearson’s

Do you really think that we are to believe that every holiday package reference with link to website is not the owner or employees. Cmon dude. Greens on Ponce best beer selection. Should I add a link a fake name and talk about a tequila selection as well.

A lot of families and lives have been destroyed because of alcohol. No lecture here from me, but it is true. Please remember that, consider others and use it responsibly.

It all depends on where you live, but I live in Woodstock and the best place for price, service and esp. the look and feel of a store, you can’t beat Lucky’s Beverage World on hwy 92. Best craft beer selection I have seen – Check out their website http://www.luckysbw.com

Why would anyone go to Holiday? No one wants to drive to Buford for a bottle of wine… plus we know no one worth a damn lives in Buford

Slick – you are correct. I live in the Woodlands in Woodstock and that is our (entire subdivion) store of choice. I am also an architect and I can tell you that is by far the best looking liquor store building I have seen. Huge wine selection and awesome prices.

Depends on what I am looking for.
If I want personal service and wine:
- H&F (who should be able to see liquor soon, or may be by now)
- Perrines
If I want personal service and wine or liquor at lower prices
- Tower (Buford Highway location; NOT Piedmont!!)
Runners up:
- Total Wine (any location but Perimeter and NorthPoint were ones I frequented)
- Hintons Wine Store – service is either amazing or your are ignored and sneered at, nothing in between. Wine and Liquor here.
- Decatur Package – only been in twice but Herb seems like a good guy
- Greene’s

DECATUR PACKAGE STORE!!!
Great store, vast selections & knowledgeable, friendly staff…whether it’s liquor, beer or wine. I wouldn’t shop anywhere else in Atlanta/Decatur area. Do you know anyone else in Atlanta/Decatur that knows more about wine than HERB?

Liquor Store on Peachtree at Collier Rd gets my vote just because I can walk there. Does anyone know why they can’t sell liquor at the same cash register as beer/wine? Also gets my vote for the oldest employees wearing the loudest mis-matched ties! What a throw-back….Hello 1972!

Highwayman, The best liquor store was in Macon behind the Dempst Hotel.
CUZ Liquor Store -no 21 was required in the 50’s you only had to be able to reach
the counter and put the money on it. That the why we called him “CUZ THE FRIEND OF
YOUTH”

Tower’s on Piedmont and there is also another one I have visited in Gwinnet County. The people there a super nice and ver accommodating. Since expanding, they really do a booming business because of their pricing and the selection. GO TOWER’S this girl loves you. Very convenient, clean and very well stocked.

I am sad that Heppy Herman’s on Cheshire Bridge closed. The personnel there, the speciality products they offered and the review and assistance in the wine department were unbelievable. If you wanted something wonderful and unique…you went to Happy Herman’s. I REALLY miss it.
