The AJC dining team’s Popular Eats specialist Jon Watson says, “This little street cart selling gourmet craft popsicles quickly won over Atlanta with its creative and unique sweet treats. Flavors like Banana Pudding, Cantaloupe Basil, and Chocolate Sea Salt keep fans lined up for some tasty relief from the summer heat.”

For those of you who are not aware, there is a new weekly food truck event known as ‘Howell Mill Food Park’. Tuesdays from 6-10, on Emery Street, one block southwest of the intersection of Howell Mill and Collier Roads in NW Atlanta. Different line-up every week. Here’s more info. Their ‘inaugural’ was last night.

Really? I have been lookng for foodtrucks – I heard that Atlanta was not really allowing them. Where are they? Are they allowed to move? Can I join a petition to city council so they can move from place to place? But, where are they now? Where? I want some!

p I love the cucumber lime cilantro popsicle from the Pop Shop. If you haven’t had it you must go out and try it now! If you like to try new things then you should definitely go out and get a pop. All vegan and vegetarian friendly too!

Please bring these food trucks to the Downtown area, specifically by City Hall. We are in a serious lack of good places to eat down here, unless you want to trek it to one of the State buildings. Sorry, but Mama Mia’s and Subway gets old. And Underground is shabby.

The Pop Shop has the absolutely best pops. And don’t get these confused with the ice pops that you get from the grocery store. The Pop Shop’s pops are fine cuisine. I have enjoyed all of the flavors that I have tried. If you haven’t tried them you need to go out of your way to do so. You can get them at various Farmers’ markets in the metro area including the Chattanooga Farmers Market, Sandy Springs, Decatur, East Lake, and Piedmont Park Green and Alpharetta. The Pop shop is outside daily at The Collective. And they are also at the Drip Coffee Shop in Glenwood Park and Farm Burger in Downtown Decatur. Yeah!, I admit it, I am an addict. And the owner is hot and Poppin’ herself. Maybe she’ll read my post and give a brother a shout out.
