I find Movie Tavern to be the best bargain for going to the theater to see a movie. The tickets are $6 for new releases during matinee. My wife and I go here when we want to see movies on opening weekend on the cheap. As it is a restaurant/theater the food is a far better value than normal movie places as well. When comparing like items such as nachos and hotdogs, Movie Tavern is right on par with AMC and Regal. But it’s the non-theater food they serve that is the real bargain. Burgers, pizzas, and even beer for slightly more than fast food prices. All of this definitely makes Movie Tavern one of my favorite “Cheap Seat” entertainment spots in Atlanta.

Grass outfield at Coolray Field (Gwinnett Braves). Great place to pack a blanket and watch a AAA ballgame from the cheap seats!

Philips Arena if Atlanta Spirit sells the Thrashers. That place will be a ghost town on game nights for the Hawks…..

Not Atlanta, but $10 gets you smack dab behind the catcher at State Mutual Stadium for the Rome Braves. It also gets you pre-game access to the Three Rivers Club where you can eat/drink with a field view and beat the crowd without standing in line.

The Atlanta Beat at KSU Stadium!!! Best secret in metro Atlanta. You get to see world class soccer players from around the world each game (Abby Wambach, Marta, Hope Solo, Carli LLoyd, Heather Mitts, etc.). $15 gets you front row behind the goal, or front row at the midfield line. Awesome for kids as well – the players hang around and sign autographs and do photos after every game!.

Scott, you must work for the Beat. I am not going to a womens soccer game, period. Atlanta Braves ticket is by far the best deal. You get to watch a few hall-of-famers, and a great team, go out and play hard everyday for a reasonable price. Cannot beat the bang for your buck.

For those of you who aren’t completely closed-minded, Scott is right. The Atlanta Beat tickets are cheap, the atmosphere is very positive (no cussing/drunks/fights), the players take time with their fans after the game, the parking is NOT a nightmare. I’ve been to plenty of Atl. Braves games over the years, but the parking is atrocious, the “cheap seats” are miles away and many of the players will not interact with fans (not ALL, but many). I’ve loved the Braves since the early 80’s, but games are too much of a hassle, cheap or not.

Atlanta Silverbacks have good seats for cheap. I haven’t seen the new Beat play, but I’m assuming they also have tickets for about $10-15 apiece that are right on the field.

Those $1 Braves tickets are hard to beat, especially if you live near Turner Field. I’m not sure how much they’ve risen to now, but I bought the $10/game season tickets for the Falcons in Vick’s first season, and that was quite a bargain. I’m assuming the price has at least doubled, but those seats are still very nice, especially with a roof over your head.

braves for sure is #1. thrashers and hawks are too pricey for there you have to sit. there are plenty of places to be a turner field to see the game without “sitting” in a seat. for a fun night also try village theatre on dekalb ave for cheap seat and BYOB improv comedy.

The $6 “before noon” movies at AMC Barrett Commons theatre in Kennesaw.

Who are the two sicko’s saying the disgusting and scary crap about Rodney Ho, who’s a really cool guy as far as the many regulars on the AI blog will attest. These creeps should be banned from posting on all blogs in the AJC!
