OUR PICKS
1. Global Mall, Norcross
The AJC dining team’s specialist in International Cuisine Gene Lee says, “This was a hard category because all of the choices listed here have food stalls that are trip-worthy. In the end I chose Global Mall because of its fun variety and consistency in dining options. The food court offers chaat (snacks/street food), Indian-Chinese fusion, South-Indian vegetarian, European breads/pastries with an Indian twist, and traditional cuisine served in thalis (platters with slots for vegetable/meat combinations).”

China House in Duluth was all that I was hoping it to be. They were featured in Chefs vs. City Atlanta last winter, the food was great, and noodles were delicious!

There’s not that many in Atlanta at this point. Mostly around the grocery stores like the SuperH, Megamart, etc.

Hmart in Duluth, Great Wall in Duluth, and Hong Kong Supermarket on Jimmy Carter are all excellent. When I crave Korean, it’s HMart, Chinese then it’s great wall. Vietnamese, then it’s Hong Kong time. Now I’m hungry.

Asian Chao at Lenox is pretty good. And the lady with the raspy voice is pretty nice.

Also, Mandarin Express at Phipps is better than most of the other locations

Clearly people don’t understand what you meant by Asian Food court….I’m sure the Panda Express at Perimeter Mall will be suggested shortly.

I’ve always enjoyed the food court at H-Mart – lots of different options, all tasty!

Panda Express is the best and they have a lot of locations around Atlanta. Try their Orange chicken. That is what I always get.

If Asian includes Indian, try Global Mall on Jimmy Carter.

The Assi market food court in duluth, off pleasant hill rd is by far the best. I’ve been to most asian food court including H-Mart and Hong kong market, even another assi market, but this one is my favorite, hands down. I go there like almost every week. They have every variety of cuisine from chinese, vietnamese, japanese, mexican and of course korean. I think russian cuisine too. I only wish they had indian and the thai restaurant that use to be there. Also China house was featured on Food network show Chef vs City for their fresh noodles made on site. Yummy

Duh! It’s Atlanta. Their idea of culinary talent is delivered in 30 minutes or less.

The Hong Kong Mall (shopping center) in Norcross: Vietnamese, Taiwanese, Thai–the variety of restaurants, plus a supermarket and a Sun-O, make this mall a winner.

I do enjoy the H-Mart on Pleasant Hill Rd in Duluth and it was my favorite until Great Wall Supermarket opened and the chef from the (now defunct) Cafe 101 began cooking at the Top Chef stall in the food court there. A food court with the goodness of all my favorite Cafe 101 dishes along with the char sui and other goodies available (come on, can you pass up crispy pork?) is hard to beat.

I’ve had a couple of things from the food court at the Doraville H Mart. Wasn’t that enamored of any of it, though in a pinch it can suffice.

You guys don’t know anything about anything. Everybody knows that the best Chinese food is found at the House of Chan on Cobb Parkway, Marietta. The food is to die for.
