Carvers is the best I’ve had. Eats is also good; though sort of a quirky meat and 2/3.

Definately Doug’s Place in Emerson…..worth the drive up 75 for the food, but I would drive it just to get waited on by the prettiest southern belles in Georgia. OMG, they put Hooter’s girls to shame!

Probably Mary Mac’s. They have the best country fried steak. I like Matthews Cafeteria; they have the best green beans I’ve ever had in a restaurant. Didn’t care for Carvers. Used to like American Lunch a lot! Wish I had eaten at the Deacon’s place downtown, but never did.

Are there any real boarding houses left anywhere?

I hear, not known, that the couple of OLD HICKORY houses left in town do a pretty good meat and three. Used to anyway.

Judy’s Country Kitchen on Sandy Plains Road in East Marietta. I’ve been in most of the places that have been mentioned. This place is as good as any and better than most. Great taste, good price and CLEAN.

dluv Big Daddy’s meat is very good and the service is outstanding, but I don’t like their vegetables. No matter what vegetables I get and I’ve had many, they are not good.

We like BBQ Kitchen on VA Ave. But for the southside area–Boxcar Cafe in Tyrone (near Peachtree City) is AWESOME! Great value–great food…and it is still a meat and three! We ate there last night and it was fantastic as usual!!!!

My favorite is Green Manor in Union City. High quality food. buffet style, a little pricy but includes homemade desserts like peach cobbler. Fried chicken is great, mac and cheese is perfect. A step up from other menus.
