You say, “I have to go with Chocolate F/X. When you are a kid you dream of combining all the things you love in to one yummy package and I haven’t found anything better than bacon chili praline chocolate covered toffee. Hands down the yummiest!”

1. Cacao Atlanta Chocolate Company
The AJC dining team’s specialist in Southern and Neighborhood Fare Jenny Turknett says, “If you are looking for an upscale chocolaterie, this is it. Cacao has the whole package.  Every detail from the decor of the shop to the crafting of the chocolate has been carefully considered. With the utmost respect for the chocolate, truffle flavorings are mild lest they overpower the rich flavor of the chocolate. My favorites from Cacao include the domino bar, coconut dulce de leche truffle and the sipping chocolate with Aztec spices — the stuff dreams are made of.”

Cacao, no question. Run by beautiful, chocolate-wise ladies, Cacao is a tiny, tucked-away treasure in the highlands. There’s nothing else quite like it; it’s where I always go to buy gifts for friends and family. The flavors are rich, decadent and unexpected, and always done right. You can buy boring milk choclate at the grocery store. Cacao takes you from the bean all the way to the bar and does it with panache. Or better yet, ganache. it’s the real deal.

Order a gift basket from Brother’s General Store in Columbus, GA. They make some of the best fudge and truffles known to man. They will ship gift baskets virtually all over the world. They’ve even shipped overseas to Iraq and Afghanistan to soldiers who were stationed in Fort Benning. Really good stuff!
