1. Harvest Moon Cafe in Rome

You say, “On Saturday at the Georgia game, I had some of Harvest Moon’s PC for the first time at a Rome tailgate. It was outrageously fabulous — probably the best I’ve ever had. Everybody was talking about it” and “Harvest Moon in Rome, GA has the absolute best pimento cheese! It’s called Wicked Pimina Cheese. If you haven’t tried it, then you need to make the drive up to Rome for lunch at Harvest Moon to try their pimento cheese. Definitely worth your time!”

And just one more note on Harvest Moon’s Wicked Pimina Cheese. It’s now available locally at Sawicki’s in Decatur.

OUR PICKS

1.Home Grown GA

Jennifer Turknett, Food and More blogger on Southern cuisine, says, “Pimento cheese is taken to the next level at Home Grown GA.  The pimento cheese is spread on grilled Texas toast and then topped with bacon and fried green tomatoes to make a dish known as ‘Grant’s Stack.’  The bacon’s richness and the acidity from the tomatoes perfectly complement the pimento cheese. The warmth of the sandwich makes it deliciously gooey, yielding the ultimate comfort food.”

Lord, I knew Watershed would be one of the first mentioned. If there was a poll for best air, someone would nominate them ! Their pimiento cheese is good. Too bad they serve it on pullman bread that you cannot bite through and the PC squishes out the sides and makes a huge mess. So I nominate my own…and I am not giving away my secret.

Wicked Pimp Cheese made by Harvest Moon Cafe’s Wicked Moon Foods. New to the ATL market. Look for the cow logo. Well worth my vote!! (They also have a Wicked Gorgonzola dip that is amazing.)

I live in Athens and Marti’s PC is very good. She uses a lot of cream cheese, though…hmmm. On Saturday at the Georgia game, I had some of Harvest Moon’s PC for the first time at a Rome tailgate. It was outrageously fabulous — probably the best I’ve ever had. Everybody was talking about it. And, as for Augusta National, the PC isn’t really the best — but it’s the best part of the food experience at the tournament:)
