1. Harvest Moon Cafe in Rome

You say, “On Saturday at the Georgia game, I had some of Harvest Moon’s PC for the first time at a Rome tailgate. It was outrageously fabulous — probably the best I’ve ever had. Everybody was talking about it” and “Harvest Moon in Rome, GA has the absolute best pimento cheese! It’s called Wicked Pimina Cheese. If you haven’t tried it, then you need to make the drive up to Rome for lunch at Harvest Moon to try their pimento cheese. Definitely worth your time!”

And just one more note on Harvest Moon’s Wicked Pimina Cheese. It’s now available locally at Sawicki’s in Decatur.

OUR PICKS

1.Home Grown GA

Jennifer Turknett, Food and More blogger on Southern cuisine, says, “Pimento cheese is taken to the next level at Home Grown GA.  The pimento cheese is spread on grilled Texas toast and then topped with bacon and fried green tomatoes to make a dish known as ‘Grant’s Stack.’  The bacon’s richness and the acidity from the tomatoes perfectly complement the pimento cheese. The warmth of the sandwich makes it deliciously gooey, yielding the ultimate comfort food.”

Harvest Moon Cafe in Rome, Georgia has the best pimento cheese in the world. Their “Pimp Burger” is a perfectly grilled burger with gooey, delicious pimento cheese, and its my all time favorite dish. They’ve even started packaging the stuff so you can eat it anytime at home! Check them out… its well worth the one hour drive to Rome: http://www.myharvestmooncafe.com/

i make a good Pimento cheese myself but the “wicked piminto cheese at Harvest Moon Restaurant in Rome Ga. has saved my bacon several times. It is not only great but my Mother in Law loves it as a gift and she makes a fair batch on her own. My wife really thinks this is the best ever. Give Harvest Moon a try and say hi to Jenny (owner). Happy Thanksgiving

I know the AJC is fairly liberal as to what constitutes Atlanta, but Athens is getting really far. I doubt anyone would nominate an Atlanta restaurant for the Athen’s Banner Herald’s “Best of Athens”

Rainbow Grocery! N. Decatur Rd and Clairmont Rd. Always has been! No artificial color or ingredients and made fresh to keep up with demand, (which is considerable- is my guess) Sold by the container. You won’t find better.
