YOUR PICKS
You say, “Order as a side, as an appetizer, or the Fried Green Tomato Salad, or the Fried Green Tomato and Pimento Cheese BLT. Wonderful Ya’ll get up to Buford!”
OUR PICKS
We say, “Busy Bee serves the best (and one of the cheapest) stand-alone fried green tomato — without sauce or toppings. The thinly sliced tomatoes are served piping hot and have a big burst of tangy flavor, which is complemented by a crispy, well-seasoned cornmeal
breading.”

Sorry but no restaurant in Atlanta makes fried green tomatoes that taste as good as the ones that are cooked by my daddy, especially when the tomatoes come from his own garden.

All South City employees get back to work. The best fried green tomatoes are at Blue Willow Inn.

Can we just have a standing nomination for “Flying Biscuit” on every single ballot, so the tourists from Duluth and Cumming will feel like they’ve made a contribution to Atlanta cuisine.

I had some at Rosebud which were quite tasty. I don’t even like tomatoes! I also had some at Coastal Kitchen in St. Simons, which were delicious. They’re the same owners as Food 101 so my guess is they have pretty good ones too.

Glad to see so many “Blue Willow Inn” mentions – they are for my money by far the best I’ve ever eaten! Just the tomatoes, cut very thin, lightly breaded and fried to a golden crust. No nasty junk on top, ie cheeses, sauces, ranch dressings – just the pure wonderful tomatoes. Kinda like the Varsity and onion rings – no matter how greasy, the taste can’t be beat.
