1. Historic Banning Mills (Whitesburg)

You say, “Historic Banning Mills in Whitesburg is a great place to get away from it all. The zipline canopy tour is the best I have experienced, and we love the big wraparound porch overlooking the gorge. Simply beautiful!”
2. North Georgia Canopy Tours (Lula)
3. Dahlonega
4. Blue Ridge
5. Rabun County/Lake Burton

1. Rabun County/Lake Burton

We say, “The unspoiled northeastern corner of Georgia is one of the state’s most gorgeous spots. The serene, picture-postcard beauty of Lake Burton, Lake Seed and Lake Rabun tops the list of reasons to visit this county at the southern tip of the Blue Ridge Mountains.”

2. Blairsville/Vogel State Park
3. Lake Oconee/Reynolds Plantation
4. Savannah
5. Helen/Sautee-Nacoochee

I hear that Banning Mills and N GA Canopy tours are great :) , but you really can’t beat our state parks. Cloudland Canyon, in Dade County, is gorgeous with plenty of hiking trails, camping, or cabins. Vogel, Unicoi, Amicalola Falls, and Fort Mountain are also great getaways. All these parks showcase the beauty of Fall in GA.

KG – you are an absolute snotty drip….. so what if people want to go to Helen? Get over your elite self. And FYI, you can find tackiness anywhere, including Savannah….. actually, your comment about Helen is the height of tacky snobbery. Tourism anywhere in the state brings in tax money, and it’s a pretty drive up there, so get over it. My favorite place is anywhere KG is not!

I don’t think anyone is “spamming” it looks like long lists of happy customers that can only come from hard work and dedication.

Banning Mills is an awesome retreat: beautiful lodge, best canopy tour/zip lines in North America, small mouth bass fishing on the river, and excellent steak and trout almondine delivered to your lodge room with candles and a basket. I go back at least once a year with my wife and also for my company retreat.

Banning Mills in Whitesburg Ga. – Unique resort in a beautiful setting. Awesome Zip Canopy Tour! Peaceful getaway with the nicest people on staff. Steven was our tour guide on the zip tour and he made our trip fun because he was so much fun. Everybody on staff was always smiling. We had the “romance” package and were very surprised that the food was soooo good. Very good value for the $. Thanks Banning Mills !!! We had a great time !!

Blue Ridge. No zip line (HA!) but the beautiful ASKA Lodge B&B with lovely hosts and a gorgeous view. Close to activities such as horse back riding, white water rafting, shopping, and of course the GA/TN state line in the middle of the street in McCaysville.(!)

One of North Georgia Mountains best kept “secrets” is The Lodge at Copperhill…..located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Georgia, outside of Blairsville. Perfect place to recharge your batteries and just relax.

I have a tie!! Banning Mill in Whitesburg for extreme fun! We loved the zip lines and high bridges, definitely an adrenaline rush. Beautiful scenery especially in the fall. I vote for Barnsley Gardens for pampering and really nice accomodations. Both are close to home, beautiful, and very relaxing.

I read the comment “Smell A Rat” Banning Mills Operators spamming. I assure you I live in Pinson Alabama and would recommend Banning Mills to anyone (which I do on a regular basis). At age 65, my family and I plan a return trip. Great way to stay young.

Greenville – Falls River Park with it’s curved suspension bridge, river walk & largest downtown waterfall. All the shops & restaurants of pedestrian friendly main st & west end, an arena, Theaters, parks, the zoo and the best minor league ballpark are all easy walking distance from the falls.
