1. Historic Banning Mills (Whitesburg)

You say, “Historic Banning Mills in Whitesburg is a great place to get away from it all. The zipline canopy tour is the best I have experienced, and we love the big wraparound porch overlooking the gorge. Simply beautiful!”

1. Rabun County/Lake Burton

We say, “The unspoiled northeastern corner of Georgia is one of the state’s most gorgeous spots. The serene, picture-postcard beauty of Lake Burton, Lake Seed and Lake Rabun tops the list of reasons to visit this county at the southern tip of the Blue Ridge Mountains.”

North Georgia Canopy Tours only 1 hour from downtown Atlanta! If you want to have a safe, yet exciting time with your friends or family, this is it. I couldn’t recommend this place enough. The people there are some of the friendliest most engaging people I know.

North Georgia Canopy Tours can’t be missed. My boyfriend and I took my mom and her boyfriend for her birthday in May and it was amazing, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable and scenery was beautiful. This fall us 4 are taking 6 more people to do it, it’s truly amazing.

1) Zipline canopy tour at Banning Mills near Carrollton. However, there is so much more to Banning Mills. You really need to check it out, 2) St. Simmons, 3) Black Rock Mtn.

Historic Banning Mills is the best place to go for a weekend getaway. It’s away from the world, back in the country where nobody can find you, the perfect way to get away from the hectic everyday life. Perfect for the everyday businessman or or anyone that has a lot on their plate, it’s so easy to just get away from the world here. If you are still having trouble getting away from the world then try riding the zip lines, they are amazing! Historic Banning Mills has the largest continuous eco-canopy zip line tour in the world which includes the Screaming Eagle Zip Line, it is 2400 feet long (about half a mile) goes on average 70 miles an hour! If this can’t get you to forget about work then nothing can. I can guarantee that you will love the zip lines and you will forget about all of your troubles. It is even the perfect place for action adventure, adrenaline junkies (like me) because there is nowhere else you can find such a rush, flying through the trees is so exhilarating and fun. I highly recommend Historic Banning Mills.

For the ride of your life it is the zip line and bridge courses at Historic Banning Mills in Whitesburg GA>! Our family will never forget the fun we had on that day. The cabins are so cute. The staff is so helpful. We loved it. It’s the talk of the town. I need to carry brochures in my pockets I get asked about our trip so much.

North Georgia Canopy Tours is a lot of fun! The views you can see on when you are on the zip lines are very nice and relaxing. Especially the highest and longest one about 60 feet in the air and the line is over 600 feet. The tour guides are very friendly and sometimes funny. You should go there if you haven’t, and will want to go back again.

North Georgia Canopy Tours is the best zipline we’ve done. We went for my wife’s birthday. This was her first zipline. The guides are at your side through out the entire tour making sure you understand everything you need to know. You move along at a comfortable pace. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They have a photographer that follows your tour and after your tour gives you the option to choose which photo’s you want or get all of them on a thumb drive. We highly recommend you give you give them a try.

Banning Mills in Whitesville, GA. Super fun zip linning with a breathtaking scenery. Took my husband for a suprise one day get-away for his birthday. Can’t wait to go back and do it again and stay the weekend. We’re both athletes and loved the adventure of zipping through the woods with a beautiful creek beneath us. It was, also fun to climb over the bridges and walk the lines to get to our next destination.

North Georgia Canopy Tours provided an excellent weekend getaway for me and my grandchildren. The tour guides were enthusiastic and accommodating. I would glowingly recommend it to anyone. Our tour guide, Jess, made it a very memorable experience that me and my family will not soon forget.

Dahlonega is my favorite. There’s lots to do within walking distance on the square, and within driving distance when you want to get out in the mountains/see the scenery. You can choose from country food, casual, BBQ, fine dining – and the square has lots of music at night and during the day. The choice of places to stay is amazing. I’ve stayed in a basic room/private bath/balcony with view in a lodge at Forrest Hills Resort with all its amenities for the same price/less than a room at a chain hotel on the highway.

Barnsley Gardens is my favorite! Last year my mom and I went there for a mother-daughter weekend. They have an amazing spa and the grounds are gorgeous! It is one of Georgia’s best kept secrets in the middle of nowhere.
