1. Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q

You say, “The brisket chili at Fox Bros. is hard to beat” and “Fox Brother’s beef brisket chili is awesome. I think I’m going there today.”

2. Wendy’s

3. Manuel’s Tavern

4. Rocco’s Pub

5. Steak ‘N Shake

A big bowl of Rocco's award-winning chili.

1. Rocco’s Pub

Food and beverage writer Bob Townsend says, “Rocco’s is all about chili. Winner of numerous chili cook-off competitions, it’s served up by the cup, bowl or super bowl, with or without beans, layered on corn chips for chili pie and ladled on pasta for chili mac.”

2. Grindhouse Killer Burgers

3. The Highlander

4. Ted’s Montana Grill

Manuel’s is best for restaurant chili.

I like the texas chili at Jason’s Deli… Wendy’s is yesterday’s uncooked hamburger meet and ketchup at best. That’s NOT chili.
And don’t even get me started on the Bean or no bean argument. (Clearly it’s without beans, otherwise it’s chili With beans)

let’s count how many d-bags on this board will say “I make the best chili” or “the best chili is at my house”. I see five so far.

Longhorn’s it is. For fast food chili it’s Steak and Shake with the extra meat on top.

I’m partial to the Pork Green Chili at TDS, and the Beef Red Chili is pretty damn tasty. But seriously, I find myself craving that Green Chili all the time.

Best chili ever – the lieutenant’s chili in Columbus, GA – at the Dinglewood Pharmacy – people are out the door in line and it is the BEST in the world, not state – he has been there over 50 years!! Scrambled dogs are his specialty and many famous people go there when in town. Try it one time, you will see…..

Rocco’s in Marietta still has the best chili in Atlanta, even though Rocco retired a couple of years ago. They still use his recipe for killer chili with just the right amount of kick.

No need to go to Cincinnati for Skyline Chili. You can buy it at Kroger either in a can or frozen. Heat it, put it on spaghetti noodles, load it with TONS of shredded cheddar, onion, hot sauce and oyster crackers. If you must, search the recipe online and make it from scratch.

Defined Chili, not fast food or some chain restaurant cooked meat and tomato sauce. Probably had some of the best chili in Atlanta at the chili cook-off Stone Mountain.

I would’ve said “my house” but I can’t really cook all that good, so Wendy’s is probably better:-)

I make the best one but since that doesn’t count, then Ted’s Montana Grill in Marietta. Although, being a chain restaurant they probably get it pre-made from headquarters. Buffalo Wild Wings has a great chili con carne cheese dip but they only sell it as such. You can’t just buy a bowl of chili from them.

Actually the chili at Firehouse Subs is pretty good. They won a cook-off in Orlando Florida a few years ago with their recipe.

Varsity is the closest to getting that. I guess I need to try these restaurants.
