YOUR PICKS
1. Murphy’s
You say, “The brunch there is outstanding, and every time I go on a Saturday or Sunday there’s a long line” and “Years ago I had a crabcakes benedict at Murphy’s. It was a special, not a regular brunch item. To this day, the best meal I ever had. Crabcake topped w/ poached egg, Canadian bacon and a jalapeno hollandaise. Unreal!!!”
3. Canoe
5. West Egg
6. Rosebud
The riverside setting is just one of many reasons Canoe is our pick for best Atlanta-area brunch spot.
OUR PICKS
1. Canoe
Food and beverage writer Bob Townsend says, “Nestled along the banks of the Chattahoochee River near Vinings, Canoe offers a lovely natural setting to relax and enjoy chef Carvel Grant Gould’s sophisticated Southern-style cuisine. At brunch, that means the likes of Georgia pecan sticky buns, duck and eggs with sage biscuits, or cornmeal pancakes with warm berry preserves.”
2. Shaun’s
3. Rosebud

Copeland’s. Their cheese grits makes my eyes roll around in circles and should be outlawed they’re so good! The jazz and buffet will fill your soul with great food and awesome music.

Rosebud, Thumbs Up (Decatur), Pastries A Go Go, and Shaun’s all have great brunches. I agree that Flying Biscuit may have once been a fantastic place but unfortunately, no longer. The food isn’t worth the wait and definitely doesn’t live up to the hype.

Amazing that it never appears on any list, but Cafe Lily in Decatur has a wonderful brunch menu and a mellow vibe for Sunday eating. Definitely a neighborhood fave.

I highly recommend Smyrna West Village’s Crepe Revolution. Casual, but perfectly cooked food, even for the pickies like me, and excellent service. Only place that can cook a poached egg perfectly!

Murphy’s is really just a bunch of hype. It is not worth the wait to get inside for average food and a small selection. Highland Bakery has great sweet potato pancakes (servings are big enough to share). Canoe has such good food and a great view. Thumbs Up in Decatur is very affordable, but service is slow. I also like Horseradish Grill.
