OUR PICKS
Food and beverage writer Bob Townsend says, “Barker’s charcoal-grilled hot dogs should be widely celebrated as one of metro Atlanta’s great bargain bites. The ‘original’ red hot, $2.79, is a classic Sahlen brand pork and beef dog covered in sweet-and-spicy red relish sauce, with chopped onions and a dill pickle sliver.”

Hey Drew, if you think Eats on Ponce is the worst, clearly you have never been to Pot & Pan on Piedmont. Cheap yes, good, OMG it is so disgusting!
The best cheap eats can be found at Silver Skillet. Unfortunately this only applies if you are looking for breakfast or lunch.

Cafe Sage Hill at Briarcliff & Clifton Road, in old Dusty’s location. Cafeteria style. Dirt cheap: Meat, two vegetables, roll and drink for $5.99. What I have had- meat loaf, green beans, a potato mixture, were hot at lunch and very good. I’ll be back. Cheaper than waffle House for breakfast, too.
