YOUR PICKS
You say, “Definitely Ali’s. They are worth the drive to Marietta no matter where you are! I can’t even pick out a favorite, because every cookie I have eaten from there is divine.”
2) Alon’s

The Cherry Ginger Explosion (on top) and the crackly Spicy Ginger cookies are just two of the flavor revelations at Decatur's Cookie Studio.
OUR PICKS
We say, “Dive into a box of these big, hearty discs of sweet goodness, and do something good at the same time. This Decatur shop donates a portion of its proceeds to the Atlanta Day Shelter for Women and Children. From the spicy ginger to the white chocolate macadamia, everything they bake here is a luscious treat.”

The Little European Bakery in Sandy Springs- the chocolate chewies are amazing. Everything else is pretty darn good as well. I hate to say it, but Whole Foods cookies are some of the best.

Not a tough decision at all. It is ALI’S COOKIES. They are even better than the best. Probably the best cookies anywhere. I know better than a mere boy…… cause I am cookie MAN.
By the way, their cakes and cupcakes are great too.

Kent’s Country Cookies available on line or at Whole Foods. Kent is a 5 time NFL Pro Bowl Football Star who has made a business out of baking his grandmother’s homemade chocolate chip cookie recipes. Having also played football for the Ga. Tech, his company is headquartered here and named some of cookie flavor’s after his alma mater. I’m partial to the Ya’ll Give Me Some Milk Yellow Jacket! The best chocolate chip cookies ever!

I have had the best chocolate chip cookies (better than DoubleTrees)at church organizations or girl scouts bake sales. The cookies are usually in sandwich bags and there’s usually about 5 of them for one dollar. They’re especially good (for some reason) at fall bake sales.

Any discussion of cookies must begin and end with Alon’s. That being said, Canvas Foods in Marietta is a close second.

Mr. K’s Cookies are SUPER DELICIOUS, and the Koronkowski family are some of the nicest people in the world. I get them at the Marietta Square farmer’s market… the peanut butter scotchies are life-changing!

“Mr. K’s Cookies” is a new cookie company. They started selling at the Marietta Square’s Farmer’s Market on Saturday mornings. (which is great, too!..fresh veggies and heirloom flowers, etc.) They have super chunky pecan ones and a great vegan carrot cookie! they ship, too. i think about 10 flavors so far. mmmmmm.

Being the owner of The Cookie Studio I guess I can call myself The Decatur Cookie Lady. I want to thank everyone who has taken the time to blog about their favorite cookies. I am the quintessential chocolate chip cookie girl and have tasted some really fine ones during my lifetime. I do believe that because everyone has a different palate and that preferences for food vary so greatly among folks that it is difficult to truly say who has the best cookie. That being said, I truly believe that all the bakeries that have been talked about in this blog bring something delicious to the table. So, why limit ourselves to just one place when we have been given a whole host of wonderful places to try! So go out and enjoy the adventure.

Love, Love, Love Mr. K’s. Such great flavors. The vegan carrot is soo good. When the weather isn’t so so humid they make an awesome Blackberry snookie with icing it is to die for.

Truth:
Ali’s cookies are delish BUT She bought the business from Chocolate Chips many years ago. Choc. Chips were the original and very friendly owners who set the standard. I sure wish Ali’s was more customer service related. Quite rude and short with people. The cookie cakes aren’t as tasty as they were years ago either, sadly. But the regular cookies are superb.
Henri’s in Sandy Springs has gone downhill. I used to purchase from them on a weekly basis for my clients and they were perfect. I’ve been in recently and the cookies were NOT edible. I bought 4 different varieties and not a one was even decent!

It’s funny how you can tell the same person is writing the same posts, just changing their name to some other obviously-made-up name. Ali’s cookies was posted every 10 minutes all of the sudden… lol
People just spam their businesses, I hope best of the A doesn’t really use this to calculate winners.
And I would say Whole Foods cookies are my favorite.

Cookie Studio…top ingredients cooked in small batches by hands-on ownners. They’ve been vetted and OK’d as a vendor at the selective Farmer’s Market at Cathedral of St. Philip. Absolutely delicious, every single variety. A percent of profits go to charity. Nothing better anywhere, and I’ve tried a lot of cookies over the years.

these blogs are just a bunch of hype from store owners, managers, employees, etc. who send repeated posts under different names to act like their store is the “best ever” in atlanta. Most bakeries are the same—cookies are easy to make and a good cookie tastes the same anywhere.
