You say, “If you picked anyone other then BB, then you have not tried them. There is no comparison in Atlanta. It’s a 40 minute drive from Decatur but I do it at least monthly” and “When I first went there I thought it would just be a dive. Turned out it is the best breakfast and bagel place I have ever eaten and I’ve chowed down a lot of bagels in a lot of different places. Great people run the place too. I’ve got three little kids and all the employees have been there a long time and treat us like family.”

Food and beverage writer Bob Townsend says, “Working way off the grid, Eddie Siino is a baker and bagel shop veteran who takes pride in his hand-rolled, kettle-boiled creations. Siino’s really big, fat bagels are bready and chewy, with a wonderfully crispy pretzel-like crust. Flavors include blueberry, marble rye and cinnamon raisin walnut, plus specials such as cheddar or French toast. And the cream cheese spreads — olive pimento, chocolate chip, Kit Kat — are pretty cool, too.”

BB’s Bagels on McFarland. Hands down–better than any bagel I ate in my 12 years in NYC.

Bagel Palace in Toco Hills shopping center for best traditional bagel.

Belly in Virginia-Highland is has the best bagels overall…it’s a slightly offbeat recipe, though…(I think they use olive oil, maybe?) but man oh man, their bagels are GOOD.

BB’s hands down- It blows Bagel Palace, Einsteins, Goldbergers and all other competition away! I always have a freezer full.

Good bagels? Try Dunkin’s Donuts of all places. Poppy, Sesame, and Whole Wheat are particularly good and a cut above the rest

BB”s on McFarland has the best bagels around. Hard to believe that you would find absolutely top notch bagels at this relatively remote suburban location- but it’s true!!

The owner of BB’s is a close family friend, and I am from Miami! and I know a great Bagel! and in the 12 years that I have lived here! by far they are the best ,most authentic bagels in the state of Georgia!!!!!!!! i have tried several, and no one can match there bagels as far as taste and flavor! and the atmosphere is warm and cozy! feels like your favorite joint! it’s well worth waiting through the crowds! my fav is the veggie! but none lacks its own unique taste and aroma! (A MUST)!!!!!!!!!!!

For fans of BB’s, check out Essex Bagels and Deli in John’s Creek. They are so close in size and taste you’d think the same company made them but Essex has a nicer dining room. And let’s hope Himmler chokes on his own bile.

20-years ago, I’d have my bagels next day aired from NY. My expectations have been lowered over the years. I believe East Cobb’s
Bagelicious as The Best Bagel in Metro Atlanta.

You have to watch out for the big chains like Einstein’s. They “par-bake” their bagels, which means that the bagel comes in frozen. The attendant then lays them out on a sheet and bakes them to the pseudo fresh bagel in the store that you buy. You get consistancy from location to location, but you don’t get an authentic NY bagel.

Thanks Bagelicious!!!

Manhattan Bagel in Newtown Square… great bagels, great atmosphere, great people… very close to Northpoint Mall, Country Club of the South, etc. For those who have to have Starbucks, there’s one right next door. If I’m in town – my vote is for Bagel Palace in Toco Hills. Unfortunately – I’m now mostly OTP.

I live off of Post Road about 5 minutes from BB’s on McFarland and when I first went there I thought it would just be a dive. Turned out it is the best breakfast and bagel place I have ever eaten and I’ve chowed down a lot of bagels in a lot of different places. Great people run the place too. I’ve got three little kids and all the employees have been there a long time and treat us like family. A+++

I really miss the ROYAL BAGEL that was in Ansley Mall. It was hands down the best bagel in Atlanta. No one else is even close. Most places today don’t even boil the bagel before baking.
