OUR PICKS
Food and beverage writer Bob Townsend says, “Even if you don’t crave doughnuts, Sublime’s crazy-cool creations will capture your imagination and tingle your taste buds. Fried with care, glazed with the likes of dulce de leche, or filled with fresh strawberries and whipped cream, these are decadent delicacies for gourmands. The A-Town Cream, plumped with rich custard and covered in Callebaut Belgian dark chocolate, is fast becoming a local culinary legend.”

Easy does it, Sara. Inasmuch as the ATL offers little-to-nothing which satisfies the sinful side of my palate, I presumed a little author’s license. However, there is a mom n’ pop’s place…the name of which escapes me…in Macon, directly across the tracks in front of the main gate at Robbins. The chow is cooked in what seems like 50 wt grease, seasoned and rarin to go. Of course, the immense post-meal guilt causes one to want to run wind sprints up and down the runway.

I am gonna catch so much crap for both of my choices but………..
A Big Mac. Call it a throw back from my past but every once in a while I just WANT a Big Mac.
A Chili Dog but not a real chili dog. I want a chili dog with that disgusting chili like you get at gas stations or quiktrip or cheap fast food chains that only have like 4 stores world wide………..

HEY BURGER LOVERS…
Take exit 12 off of 85 north. Turn right towards the Publix shopping ctr.
There is a burger joint called Burgers & Shakes….
The place is run by Chinese family….Best, wait now, I mean it…The best burgers anywhere around here…
Yes, I have had Fudruckers,Five Guys, Steak and Shake, Vortex…
I have had them all…..
I contend that ones from this hole in a wall are the best around.
