Dining critic Meridith Ford Goldman says, “The AJC has printed the recipe not once, but twice in our food pages, and it remains one of our readers’ favorites on accessAtlanta.com. Owner David Roberts uses rigatoni pasta, coats it with sharp cheddar, Monterey jack and Parmesan cheeses and lots of heavy cream, then bakes it until it melds into a mass of oozing, cheesy, almost unidentifiable heaven.”

My all-time favorite is the Blue Cheese Macaroni @ the Oceanaire Seafood Room
In second place: Old Hickory House
A close third: McCormick & Schmick’s @ Perimeter’s Macaroni & Cheese

Best Mac and Cheese ever – Park 75’s (at the Four Seasons Hotel) Crab Mac and Cheese! If you have not had it, make it down there immediately – it is the best you’ll ever eat!!

Well, I’m kinda partial to my own. But that said, I really like Strickland’s in Athens (on the Atlanta Highway beyond the mall). It’s not on the menu every day, but it is the best I’ve had in a restaurant. Hope that counts as Atlanta “area” as I have not been to any of the places in Atlanta proper that you folks have listed.

Easily Star provisions. Supposedly Chef Anne’s family recipe, but lush, rich, and flavored beyond perfection. At 10$/lb this is pricey, but with multipe cheeses worth taking home. Dont forget to try their fried chicken, and honey chicken wings… Delicious. http://su.pr/2jRzIr

When you tally the votes Community Q, Dave Poe’s BBQ, Sam’s BBQ1, the former Sam and Dave’s BBQ1 & 2, should be added together as one entry because they all serve the same M&C as I understand. So my vote is for all of the above.
