Best place to eat at the bar

The Coronary Bypass Burger (with those beloved tots) at the Vortex. One of the many great things you can grab at the bar at either the Little Five Points or Midtown location, along with the restaurant's signature brew, Laughing Skull.

Dining critic Meridith Ford Goldman says, “Chef-owner Linton Hopkins has turned this lovely Buckhead gem into a four-star destination. And one of the best places to enjoy his offerings is at the bar, where the lively, old-fashioned cocktails pair beautifully with the kitchen’s well-sourced meats and vegetables.”

I want to know when Atlanta is going to get an original slogan or nickname.

Dallas – The Big D (The Big A is used in Atlanta, obviously)
Las Vegas – What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas (I have seen this used for Atlanta in gift stores)
NYC – I heart NYC (I have seen I heart ATL shirts in ATL)

Social Resto, downtown. There’s a select wine list, daily dinner specials, and the owner Ray is a great host. It’s easy to strike up a conversation with the bartenders as well.

THE ARIZONA PUB. Yea, it’s more of a bar, but the wings are the best that I have had in Atlanta. Be careful though, they get pretty hot. They have tons of patio space, and the upstairs bar is dope. Chill atmosphere and table tops. It doesn’t feel like Atlanta (in a good way). The staff is great too. It’s a new place that has finally worked out a lot of their initial kinks (food included). Check it out.

Vortex in little five is tops. can you say tots?
The Cheetah Lounge with the best dang bartender in town, Paul Ross. You have to go before eight to catch him. the chicken tenders are to die for and the ladies aint bad either.
FLIP and their milkshakes make me smile, however, i don’t know any of their staff by name.
the club at chops is great, but you have to be a member. these bartenders serve a great meal to a predominately male clientele, which means they witness plenty of men behaving badly. fortunately, they can keep a secret or two…

Manuel’s Tavern – The Tavern is Hands Down the Greatest Meeting Place in Atlanta. It is the Mecca of the Working Class Bar – Where Kings and paulpers mix and mingle. No other Meeting Place comes close. Manuel and Robert Maloof started a good thing and it is still going strong.

Six Feet Under Grant Park is a great place to go! They have free Wi-fi, there is usually never a wait for the bar and Monday-Friday customers get 10% off their meal if they sit at the bar during lunch time. A great deal if you need to eat quickly!
