You say, “Before Sandy Springs became a city, ‘The Festival’ was the one thing that unified our community. Whether one is young or old, it is the best place to see neighbors and friends, grab something to eat, and enjoy the fall weather. I always enjoy the heritage demonstrations, such as sheep shearing and blacksmithing, as well as the variety of crafters and food vendors.

You say, “Nothing says spring to Atlantans quite like blooming dogwood trees and this annual celebration of those blooms really does have something for everyone. Visitors to the festival get great music, a wide variety of arts and crafts, tasty food and, best of all, a stroll through Piedmont Park in spring.”

By no means a promoter… Really enjoyed the ATL BBQ FEST! Eat, drink and be Merry! It’s not your typical artsy-craftsy type fest… it’s meat market, no pun intended! JK! It really is a good way to get a taste of the best BBQ in ATL. The vendors were great, the food was great and the atmosphere was great, fun for families and all walks of life. That’s what I liked best, second to the great BBQ! Fantastic, cooks, chefs, professional and straight from the kitchen! I hope it continues to grow so our family can look forward to attending year after year!

The Sandy Springs Festival, Heritage Sandy Springs, will celebrate its 25 anniversary this September. This is the best because it is like a family gathering for the community and brings together the Sandy Springs artists, craftsmen, civic, and business organizations. There are multiple music artists, stage events, an annual Pet Parade, a children area. It is the best festival because it brings the community and the city together in a united bonding.

Nominating the Taste of West Cobb at The Avenue West Cobb. This is a great event where the community gets together for food and fun. All proceeds go to support the Hillgrove High School Bands, a truly spectacular program.

Check out the Atlanta Festivals Examiner at examiner.com: the Inman Park Festival is nostalgic for me and, therefore, one of my favorites.

Taste of Atlanta – I love festivals but this one is the most fun, draws a terrific mix of people, and has the best location now that it’s at Tech Square.

We have voted Taste of Atlanta the BEST festival in Atlanta. Each year it gets bigger and better!! The food, entertainment, sponsors, and the name brand chefs make the weekend one of a kind. My family looks forward to this foodie event each year.

I too love the Sandy Springs Festival and all of the fun activities, including the race, the Pet Parade, Georgia Made Georgia Grown, etc. It is a very pet and family friendly festival with a lot of local flavor. Indeed, I think the entire City of Sandy Springs was dancing to the tune of the Tams just a couple of years ago. I wonder what is in store for the Festival’s 25th year?!
