You say, “Before Sandy Springs became a city, ‘The Festival’ was the one thing that unified our community. Whether one is young or old, it is the best place to see neighbors and friends, grab something to eat, and enjoy the fall weather. I always enjoy the heritage demonstrations, such as sheep shearing and blacksmithing, as well as the variety of crafters and food vendors.

You say, “Nothing says spring to Atlantans quite like blooming dogwood trees and this annual celebration of those blooms really does have something for everyone. Visitors to the festival get great music, a wide variety of arts and crafts, tasty food and, best of all, a stroll through Piedmont Park in spring.”

I’ve always been a fan of the Yellow Daisy Festival. In part because the festival itself is usually better than other craft fairs of the same type. Also, the venue is better because there are plenty of other family activities at Stone Mountain than just the festival, so you can make a whole day out of it.

Yes, there are many great festivals around town, but the Dogwood is the Grand Daddy of them all… draws such an ecclectic mix of people from all around Atlanta to one (incredibly beautiful) central location.

It’s not in Georgia but the Shrimp Festival is hard to beat. Amelia Island, FL is the most beautiful place to visit in the northeast part of Florida.

The Dogwood Festival is definitely Atlanta’s finest! While others have their niche, the Dogwood Festival is the granddaddy (literally) of ‘em all. I look forward to my first jaunt to Piedmont Park every spring to enjoy the Dogwood Festival and this year is no exception!

For Trill, it’s the Inman Park Festival. The Friday before festival was always like a holiday for those of us that grew up in Inman Park. All of the other neighborhood festivals are just trying to play catch-up to the original!
