You say, “Our family has a tradition of eating at Chepe’s on Friday nights. We love the food, the service and the atmosphere. Everything we have eaten has been awesome and the staff is so very friendly and efficient. Sometimes there is a wait, but it’s well worth it, I promise.”

Dining critic Meridith Ford Goldman says, “No place serves the mystery that is masa as well as this real-deal joint in Jonesboro. This is soul food, Mexican-style, and specializing in the wonders of Oaxaca.” See her complete round-up for more on each of these Mexican marvels.

I’ve eaten at almost all of the restaurants mentioned here, and many others across the country and in Mexico. All mentioned here are good, but the absolute best is the Bridge in Roswell. The Steak Taco Poblano is one of my favorite dishes, no matter the cuisine.

The Bridge in Roswell/Alpharetta is the best we’ve had…. If you haven’t tried it you should… The Texas Margaritas will keep you coming back and the fajitas will too… The ambience is small, warm and cozy… The owners and staff always make you feel like a special guest so what more can you want in a dining experience…. It is by far my favorite Mexican Restaurant …..

Being from Texas I know a thing or two about Mexican food. Atlanta doesn’t have true Mexican food, alot of Cuban and Puerto Rican. For great, Texas inspired Mexican, straight from the border, try Uncle Julios. They have won many awards, even winning Best Mexican in Dallas/Ft. Worth where there’s wonderful food on every corner. It’s a little pricy but nothing beats fresh salsa and tortilla’s and by the way, in Mexico they use yellow cheese, not white!

“The Bridge” on Alpharetta Hwy. in Roswell is the best! I and many others have followed this chef from 3 locations over the period of 15 yrs. His Mexican food is the best I’ve found since living in Texas. My husband and I mourned until they reopened recently as “The Bridge”. The carnitas, enchiladas with green sauce and the fajitas are awesome. The salsa is so fresh tasting. Just go there.
