OUR PICKS
Dining critic Meridith Ford Goldman says, “Unexpected and totally satisfying, La Pietra Cucina is possibly the most authentic Italian restaurant in the area. Chef Bruce Logue has a deep understanding of Italian cuisine, but his interpretation is his own.”

La Pietra Cucina. Authentic Italian cuisine. Forget the red sauce, pizza, calzones and other pedestrian Italian meals. This restaurant understands the marriage of fresh made pastas, authentic Italian meats (including salumi, sausage and prosciutto ), and fish dishes that speak of its Mediterranean origin. This is for the sophisticated palate that appreciates the nuances of real Italian faire. Mangia, Mangia.

I’ve enjoyed meals at Veni Vidi Vici, Pricci, and Dominick’s; I still want to try Antico Posta and Baraonda. However, the best Italian I’ve had in Atlanta is at La Tavola.

The worst experience we have ever had. The owner is confrontational when we ordered well over 100.00 of appetizer & entree, because, we asked for a wine sampling of two Pino Noirs, one of which we were purchasing by the bottle @ 60.00-75.00. In this economy and just plain common business sense, this restaurant will never make it in Buckhead. Awful service makes it no fun to eat!

man, the people who vote for things on these sites have a strong preference for s****y food in the suburbs. How about La Tavola in VA-Highland, Sotto Sotto, LaGrotta, and Pasta di Puchinella in Atlanta. I’m sure there is some great Italian food in Ackworth and Dalton *snicker* but let’s get real.
