Like the River Salon on Highland Avenue in the Inman Park neighborhood is awesome. It’s owned by sisters Najah and Lateefah Aziz. I’ve been a faithful client since April and really wouldn’t go anywhere else. The salon’s decor is very relaxing and comforting. I’m always asked if I’m comfortable or if I’d like something to drink. The level of customer service at LTR is something I’d been missing at other salons. The stylists are professional and courteous, but not so uptight that they don’t laugh and joke around. It’s a great balance between professionalism and realness. The wait time is always minimum. If my stylist gets behind, which is seldom, an assistant will shampoo or blow dry my hair to keep the wait to a minimum. I’ve never spent more than 2.5 hours there for my monthly appointments. My stylist is Terion, and he and Najah gave me great pointers on how to care for and maintain my style between appointments. Like the River also e-mails its clients a monthly newsletter containing hair care tips and coupons to use for that month. I love LTR. Keep up the good work!!

One On One Atlanta’s Best Kept Hair Secret in Dunwoody, GA can only be described in one word….FAB-U-LOUS!!! My personal stylist is Nicole but any of the girls in the shop will take care of business! Top of the line Aveda products and above. Kudos to the only stylist there…Bernard (Palucci himself)! Been on Glenwood and they washed my hair with Suave! OMG!! Jinkies!! YUCKY-brittle…then brought out the dreaded spritz… talk about run for the door and don’t look back! Must agree w/the other poster…. for Atlanta to be a hair capital these are some of the tackiest weaves I’ve ever seen… please pay someone and stop “DIY”ing (doing it yourself) ..we can tell.

Van Michael’s in Buckhead next to Whole Foods. After a decade at CB’s, which is very good, I changed. There is no comparison to the service and the professional work you get there.
Number one thing is that eveyone there is a team and happy about it. No one person is trying to fix thier ego. You leave happy.
For color , Merideth. For the best cut that people will comment on in every town you visit, Megan. Also the color is coveted in every place I go. She has trained Cameron, her assistant for 2 years. He now works on weekends at the Sandy Springs location. They are also very friendly and perfectionist.
The greeters are awesome too. Not on personal calls or moods when you walk in.
Another really great guy if you want to go to Phipp’s is Allen Jones at CB. He is very very good and nice.

See Damon himself. Others are not as good as he is. I settled for a lady since he was unavailable and she was sloppy. She left hair coloring on my face and neck. I did not notice around my face till after I left and pulled my hair back. I was very embarrased. Damon always does a great job. The nice glass of wine during your visit is a nice touch too.

Snez is the very best…I first saw her at a salon in Decatur. She went out on her own several years ago. She has never failed to give me a great cut and style. I have difficult hair (some waves, some straight) and I have never found anyone else who paid such close attention and gave me a flattering, easy to keep style. After years of getting her hair cut at trendy salons, then coming home and complaining, my 19 year old daughter finally came to Snez 2 years ago…and only once went somewhere else…she wound up asking Snez to fix it (which she did)!

Chris I agree with you, Claibornes staff is warm, friendly and welcoming. Me and a friend had a pamper day and didn’t expect a lot as far as hair, because I have curly difficult hair and Chrissy did a fabulous job, and my girlfriend had chandler do a haircut and a beautiful,elegant updo. Julie did a fabulous no rush massage and the makeup artist Donna was outstanding. We looked and felt like a million bucks. If I lived here I would give all my friends a gift certificate for Christmas.
