Siggers at Northlake! They have the greatest staff – all of them are extremely talented, very professional and the nicest people you would ever want to meet! The hair color is PERFECT every time – perfect color, perfect cut. I’ve been going there at least 15 years. Thank you, Siggers!

this is such a loaded survey, because everyone is different, and hairstyle is such a personal thing. stylists at the number 1 nominee, van michael, gave me horrible cuts & styles for my hair texture (for the last time, get that effing razor away from my wavy hair, i shouldn’t have to tell the same stylist more than once…shouldn’t have to tell them at all, really), and you couldn’t pay me to trust anyone there with my hair again.
curly & wavy girls of ATL, if you’re tired of getting all of the life blown out or flat ironed out of your hair because your stylist can’t be bothered to learn how to work with your texture, give ambrosia salon on howell mill road a try. after 5 years of disappointment here, i FINALLY found ambrosia salon. both christine and brenda (my stylist) are curly/wavy specialists, and you will not be disappointed.

Damons Hair Saloon on Hwy 42 Stockbridge/Eagles Landing area.
See Damon himself. Others are not as good as he is. I settled for a lady since he was unavailable and she was sloppy. She left hair coloring on my face and neck. I did not notice around my face till after I left and pulled my hair back. I was very embarrased. Damon always does a great job. The nice glass of wine during your visit is a nice touch too.

I have to give kudos to Malaika at Helmet Salon as well. She is the only person I trust to carve, chop and maintain these curls. She is excellent at shaping curly locks and maintaining natural hair. If you never been serviced at Helmet before—you are missing out!

Gloria’s Hair Affairs in northwest Atlanta on 1050 Donald Lee Hollowell. All stylist are great, Gloria, Val, Bo and Meeka. Their work appeals to all age groups, from children on up! My mother is 94 and Gloria has been “dressing” her hair for years. From the straightening comb to the weave…they can do it!

Portfolio Salon in Kennesaw – in the same plaza as Marlow’s Tavern, Massage Envy, Firehouse Subs, etc. I’ve been going there since it opened in 2007. Bien (the owner) is fantastic – she has a great eye for color and if something won’t work or look right – she’ll tell you.
