Dining critic Meridith Ford Goldman says, “L’Thai’s tom-kha is a silken bowl of sweet-yet-sour soup layered with the flavors of broth and coconut milk and peppered with bright cilantro, all highlighted by unimaginably fresh tofu. One sip, and you won’t need Calgon to take you away.”

It’s hard to give anyone the nod over Souper Jenny, but Mitch’s crew over at MetroFresh has some of the most delicious soups I’ve ever had! I believe they have a lot of the same recipe’s, so it may be a toss up. But at the end of the day, when I want delicious soup in Atlanta, I head straight to MetroFresh!!

If I’m craving soup, I head over to Buford Hwy and have some pho at Pho Bac. If I’m with friends, a trip to Mini Hot Pot (across from Pho Bac) is awesome! Its like the personal fondue version of soup. Each seat has a hot plate for the broth to heat up and plates of veggies, seafood and meats come on the side. You drop in what you want, add seasonings or sauces if you prefer, and enjoy! So fun and delicious!

The Krissy Soup at Rainbow Natural Foods. Their Mulligatawny is really good and their Senate Navy Bean. But Krissy is the best – broccoli, celery, and squash.

My vote is for the chicken coconut soup at Doc Chey’s Noodle House. Yum ! Yum! Second choice is the tomato basil bisque at Urban Flats at the Avenue Webb Gin near Snellville. Perfect blend of tomato, garlic, herbs, and cream.

The loaded baked potato soup from Cherokee Cattle Company on the Canton Highway in Marietta is to die for! It is cream based with chunks of potato and served with real bacon bits, green onion, and cheese on top. The shrimp corn chowder @ TDS comes in a close 2nd…
