Park Grounds in Reynoldstown and Joe’s in East Atlanta are my favorites.

1) J. Martinez (also served at J Christopher’s in addition to the locations mentioned above); and 2) Bartdorf & Bronson (I like the Dancing Goats blend). I just tried Trader Joe’s Five Country Espresso Blend (I brew it at home) and was also impressed.

I absolutely love coffee, and was excited to read this post! Thanks for the other recommendations on here, too.

Java Vino has some of the best coffee in atlanta, they roast their own beans – and they are literally theri own beans as they get them from their own coffee plantation in South America. Dirty Nekked Guy is a great blend, and their espresso is out of this world. Has a great nutty flavor to it. They also have some of the best prices out there with a great, I mean GREAT loyalty program.

Java Jive anyone? Had the best cup of coffee there last weekend and bought some beans to make it at home. Really good. Aurora would be my next choice.

Sorry, the best coffee is on the Jersey shore (Long Branch) at a local spot called the “Inkwell”…..Dutch coffee.

La Madeline has some of the best coffee in the city and is hands down the best place to get a late sweet treat and cup of Decaf.

The aroma of my Dad’s fresh ground BBQ coffee beans in the morning is truly eye opening. When you really need that jump start in the morning, Dad’s vinegar-based coffee brew cannot be beat. (I also like Starbucks, but don’t tell Dad).

The place in Tucker, Mighty Joes I think (on Howell Mill, near Ingles, north side of street). I think they brew ‘intelligentsia’ coffie.

Java Monkey is good too. The Costco ’seattles best’ ground fine, use a rounded scoop per 6 ozs of water, makes an excellent cup too.

Everyone order your coffee beans/grounds from http://www.coffeefool.com and everyone can have their own fresh, delicious, delectable cup of coffee. They have the freshest coffee available. Try em out. Also KaVlazza coffee…mmm, mmm, good, anyone in town who sells Kavlazza coffee?

They brew up some Lavazza quite nicely at the Carroll Street Cafe in Cabbagetown. Great spot for a nice conversation, cup of coffee, a good read, etc.

As a resident of Decatur, I have the good fortune of having within less than a mile Dancing Goats, The Dekalb Farmer’s Market and Starbucks. The Emory Village is less than 10 minutes away depending on traffic. That being said, sometimes you just have to save some money and buy coffee at the grocery store. I like Chock Full of Nuts and Eight O’clock coffee and even the bag brand of Dunkin Doughnuts. However I feel the quality of your coffee maker is as important as the coffee you buy. That makes a big difference.

NOT Dekalb Farmers Market Coffee – bought whole beans and it turns out there was an old, rusty nail in the beans that destroyed my coffee grinder. They refused to pay for it and denied anything was wrong. Should have gone to Channel 2 to report it but didn’t have the energy. Will never buy their beans again!!

Is this a competition to find the most obscure out-of-the-way place to buy overpriced coffee or a competition for the BEST cup of coffee?? Waffle House gets my vote and it won’t break the bank. I won’t go to IHOP anymore just because their coffee is horrible. Hey Larry – I am still laughing at your frying pan comment and I agree!

REV in Smyrna is the best coffee I have found in town. I am from Portland and their coffee (roasted by Batdorf and Bronson) is the best around. Plus, the owners support local artists throughout the week and have a great attitude.

I do a lot of my business there and love it. Everyone should go try it out.

I’ve never been to Octane but will try it out based on the reviews here. And I love a French Press! From my own experience, Dunkin has one of the best cups in town and I’m also a fan of the coffee at DeKalb Farmers Market. And let’s face it, the VAST majority of people really only drink Starbucks because it was the trendy thing to do in the 90s. But it appears that most people have wisened up and aren’t buying into the hype anymore. It’s not really good folks; it tastes burnt.

Belly General Store has a great-tasting latte. Maybe it’s the lumps of brown sugar you drop in it and the frothy steamed milk. Either way, it tastes down-home delish! Can’t wait for Life as We Know it to wrap up filming so that I can go back there for a quick treat.
