You say, “Cakes by CoCo has the best cakes I’ve tasted since moving to Atlanta 6 years ago! I was first introduced to the rich, indulgent sweets at a gathering. Many of the attendees inquired about the desserts and several of us have been hooked ever since.”

The greatest dessert in Atlanta — and, in my opinion, the greatest dessert ANYWHERE — is Aria’s warm chocolate cheesecake. That stuff is LIFE-CHANGINGLY good.

Alpine Bakery in Alpharetta (Houze Rd) has the best deserts ANYWHERE. Most of the fine restaurants around Atlanta order their cakes & pies from them. Their Coconut cake is the best you will ever have. I get one for my wife’s birthday every year. Pricey, but worth every penny.

I finally get to the last page and someone else hits my two favorites. Sweet Tooth is right – Alpine is is amazing and the single slice portions are obscenely huge. Chang Mai is a small Thai reasturant next to Krogers on Lilburn on US 29 – the last place you would look for coconut cake – but it was as fresh and moist as any cake I have ever tasted. Glad to see other fans out there.

You can feel the love that goes into each cake by Coco with each bite. I have tried several of the scrumptious “chunks” and they were all that and then some with flavor, moistness and a lasting memory of having eaten the best cake ever! When I shared some of Coco’s cakes with a very good friend, who is an all around excellent cook, she agreed with me. Coco’s cakes ’taste absolutely wonderful!’ My favorite right now is the Pineapple Cream Supreme.

The cupcakes at Cammie Cakes on Peachtree are downright addictive; and sooo many flavors to choose from…red velvet, carrot cake, chocolate, and on and on. My favorite – sweet potato pie.

When I think of the Best Dessert in ATL, I immediately think of Cakes by Coco, and you should too! Cakes by Coco, located off of Memorial dr in Stone Mt, is the premier bakery for fine dessert. Coco creates innovative flavors such as my personal favorite, Juicy strawberry lemon swirl, and always includes a heaping potion of Love in the batter of every cake! …Just thinking about each titillating “chunk” makes my taste buds dance with excitement! And the best part is, the cakes are affordable!!! Other competitor’s cakes will cost you an arm and a leg, but Cakes by Coco is recession proof, especially with their frequent coupons sent via email! If you haven’t placed your order yet, you are wasting time! Clearly, Cakes by Coco has my vote! Best Dessert in the A!

I agree with the comments about Metrotainment (my favorite is the peach poundcake) and Piece of Cake (I adore the chocolate chip pound cake and after I took a piece to mom, she pretty much has duplicated the recipe – great for me!)

I use to go The Dessert Place in VH when I was young…so good! We would go eat at the original Taco Mac and then The Dessert Place afterward! The Kentucky Derby Pie was my mother’s favorite. She looked for the recipe for years.
