OUR PICKS
1) C & S Seafood and Oyster Bar
Dining critic Meridith Ford Goldman says, “For a landlocked city like Atlanta, a classic fish house is a refreshing change from the usual steak-and-sushi gig, and C & S proves its mettle when it comes to making simple preparations — broiled or chargrilled fish, elegant but simply prepared with sides of roasted fingerling potatoes and haricot verts — into big, bold plates of beauty.”

Goin’ Coastal in Canton! Intimate and locally owned. Fantastic service, original menu, interesting wines and very reasonably priced for what you get. Get there early for the best specials.

I’ve lived here 3 years and haven’t found one restaurant even close to an average place in Boston. Most of the seafood here is frozen and brought in on trucks, instead of fresh and it tastes very average. Boston’s got tons of places better than these “high rated” atlanta places. I may move back soon–too many rednecks down here.

this to all the rednecks and others who say folks can leave atlanta.i took your advice been in seattle for a year don,t miss your traffic, don,t miss the rampant rednecks, don,t miss reading about rappers in the sunday newspaper.don,t miss the confederate flag.150 miles in either direction i got vancouver ,canada and portland oregon vs birmingham and greenville sc.don,t have white folks getting scared when i come in the store or their business, which has not happened once in 14 months here.yeah it rains here but 1 sunny 75 degree day here is worth 20 warm days there.stuff to do besides mall, church, niteclub.i,m glad i took your advice.plus i can date who i want here

I love Atlanta Fish Market, the menu is really simple and really relies on the freshest fish, the sushi menu is a hidden gem for sure, and I love that they have a market in the back that you can buy fish from to make your own seafood dishes at home. The guys behind the counter can always recommend what’s best!

Wahoo is tops in my book. The atmosphere is charming, the menu inventive. Also excellent are Atlanta Fish Market and Legal Sea Foods. Six Feet Under is just a gimmick – the seafood equivalent of a Moe’s. The food is greasy and mediocre.
