I can’t believe all the national chain comments on here. So sad … branch out, people!

Capozzi’s in East Cobb! Try one of the specialty sandwiches listed on the wall. Or go next door for their pizza. OUTSTANDING!

Cosmic Dave’s in Emory Village flies in their Pastrami from NY and uses Alon’s bread (I think). Really good. and E. 48th in Dunwoody’s salami sandwich – waaaaaay better than Publix (which I do like).

Alon’s, Wrights, Papis Cuban ( I miss KK and Havana)…all good.

Publix is tasty and so is Firehouse and Jersey Mike’s. Subway is awful, the only redeeming quality of Subway is the fact that it is healthy.

I like Gruby’s NY Deli on pill hill, and I also like Baldino’s. Special mention of the Hoboken Bagel and Deli Co on Sandy Plains Road in Marietta.

Enter your comments here Say it ain’t so!!!!! Havana’s closed?!?!?!? I always told people here in FL, that if they wanted a REALLY good ‘pressed’ cuban, then they needed to go to Atlanta and to the Cuban Sandwich Restaurant. Now, I have no reason to come home. I can’t believe I only saw one vote for this amazing sandwich (best enjoyed with black beans and rice!!!!).

OK……..I got impatient…….I now see that there were quite a few Havana fans, and I also see that the restaurant burned down. I also saw a comment about a ‘Havana South’ in Buford….is this poor grammar or is there a Havana in Buford, Ga???? And if there is, is it the same family that owned the shop on Buford Hwy???

Ummmm. No brainer here folks. Just take some of my dad’s succulent BBQ, brush on some of his vinegar based sauce, grab whatever kind of bread is around and just have a ball with it. Believe me folks, it’ll be better than your wedding night.

I used to love the Pittsburgh Sandwich (sort of like a philly cheesesteak with coleslaw & fries on it, not beside it) at Frankie’s. Since they are no longer open, my next favorite is Jersey Mike’s, I usually get a number 8 with mayo, lettuce, onion, banana peppers and then get some baked lays and pile them on my sandwich.
