I wish you would have posted this last week when I was in Tucker, GA. I could not find a good peach pie or cobbler anywhere and we asked everywhere we went. I tried the Pic-a-dilly in Tucker and The Varsity, downtown and neither offered the fresh peachy dessert I was looking forward to. I had hopes for the restaurant at the Forest Park Farmers Market, but they sold their last piece moments before our arrival. I did bring some fresh GA peaches home. The Pecan looks like the place to go. Next time!

Let’s stop extolling the virtues of Georgia peaches. I’ve never tasted a good one. Clearly, better peaches come from South Carolina, California and New Jersey.

I can only eat a fresh peach from Georgia. The peaches from anywhere else are not as sweet or juicy.

You know, telling everyone that you or your neighbor make the best cobbler isn’t interesting or helpful (unless you include the address and invite everyone over for cobbler).

Mine is really good – it’s my Momma’s recipe, but since I can’t invite everybody over for it, I will say Matthew’s in Tucker. There is really good. And to the person who said he/she couldn’t eat a Georgia peach, well, that just leaves more for the rest of us. And, in the years my tree produces, they are the best I have ever had. Nothin’ like home grown

I conquer, Buckner’s has the best peach cobbler. Although, I don’t like the slave artifacts in the restaurant!!!! I think they could at least at a marker that provides info about the artifacts.

Just a little toot of my own horn! I am the owner of Pies by Sweet Sistah and I think my Peach “Dumplin” Cobbler is the best ever! It has a top and bottom crust, juicy with dumplins inside the pie! Anyone can order them fresh frozen or fresh baked: Call 404-219-5571 or email sweetsistah28@bellsouth.net.

The peach cobbler sold out of the Deli section of my local Ingles is the best I’ve ever had. Second best would have to be at Bilbo’s BBQ in Bremen, GA.

I love these food blogs, I learn about places I haven’t been to like Sweet Sistah’s. But my favorite cobbler besides mine is like I said above is Buckeners, along with their fab fried chicken and stewed tomatoes and rolls. Matthews has great cobbler and so does His & Her Buffet in Acworth. I am a true foodie and will go almost any distance for the right taste!

Kay, stop hating. The questions is where to get the best Peach Cobbler. There are several votes for Buckners, Shane’s, Sweet Sistahs and your favorite Blue Willow. You sound like a sour puss. And for the record, I’m not Sweet Sistah. Just a person who hates to see others knock somebody for trying to do their thing.
