We’ve come to the end of the season and the time when your humble correspondent steps aside for the insanity that is college recruiting in the South. The AJC’s expert, Chip Towers, will get you through the process.
But before we go, here is a little exercise I put together this morning, breaking down the underclassmen who have declared for the draft by conference. It will not surprise you that the SEC (15) and the ACC (10) lead the way. Look at this list and tell me the guys you are really going to miss.
I want to thank you all for another wonderful season. We’ve had our ups and downs but that is what makes it fun and interesting. You are the smartest and most passionate college football fans in the world and I appreciate you. Have fun with this….TB

Murray showed his talent in the Florida game. He is emotional and it showed. His pics and his dumb fumble that led to a score and then that OT pci just killed UGA. Again vs UCF his emotions just had him in knots.
The Batman gloves??? THAT was the straw that broke the camel’s back for me. He also tried to force the ball to Orson Charles and did so all season, whether two men or three were covering Orson. That is dumb.
Murray will never win a SEC title at UGA. He is a stat QB like Eric Zeir and Johnny Rauch and Matt Stafford and a couple of other throwing QBs. All had nice stats but NO titles. None.
UGA man, class of 71 & 73

None, repeat none of the “5″ declared for the NFL draft. Told you so. You give Coach Tressel your word and you stand true to your word.

“Tell the truth”- He is projected in the later rounds in the draft…He had a down year for himself personally…in a draft with stacked receivers..you would think he would wait it out for next year…no a bad concept..Really????

I don’t think Murray is the answer at QB. He is undersized and makes dumb mistakes when the preasure is on. I hope we give Lemay or Mason a chance to compete for the starting job in the spring.

Don’t believe Patterson would bolt from TCU. He is a perfect fit there. Could be in over his head in SEC (like our current coach),

Hmmm. Leave TCU which is now in the big east competing for a bcs bowl bid automatically every year to go to a pathetic loser program like UGA which hadn’t won crap since 1980? Uh, no. I don’t think so.

RTR22, the true barn is going to show it’s face in 2011??? Last I remember I think Auburn is 8-3 against the bammers since 2000. I hope the “barn” continues to show the same face it has the past 11 years. Not to mention I believe in that same time frame, Auburn has 2 undefeated seasons compared to the bammers 1. Keep showing that face Auburn!

Funny to see how jealous & hateful these bloggers are towards Auburn University when they had a dream season and the only thing that matters (Almost as much as coming back for the 5th time/season against Bama) is AU’s second (Official National Championship) should have had a chance in 2004 to play for it as we were 13-0 and beat VT in Sugar Bowl…Anyway that’s the past but just wanted to remind you boneheads & peabrains that think Auburn University is just gonna go away w/out Cam Newton, Nick Fairly & Darvin Adams. Yes, we will truly miss these giants of players & the SEC will miss them but the stars were aligned with the moon this year and I love seeing how it smokes & chaps UGA and Bama fan’s asses…Enjoy your off year LOSERS…WAR DAMN EAGLE….Reagle, Reagle, WAR DAMN EAGLE, Kick em in the butt BIG Blue…

Why is media so scared to investigate Bishop Cecil, Kenny Rogers, etc…? Auburn really threw the Harry Potter disappearing blanket over the top of Cecil, but you would have thought at least one media outlet would have had TV interviews with at least a couple of this cast of characters, by now. It’s always nice to get a look at the person’s face when they are answering tough questions.

The guys on JOX FM in Birmingham have been ordered not to mention the good Bishop’s name on the air. Management feels that the negative publicity could put a damper on next year’s CFB season, so it’s all basketball, recruiting and sunshine for them now.
The suits might have a valid point, but I think they’re a day late and $180,000.00 short.
As for the Buckeyes, the NFL didn’t want any of the Fab Five. That doesn’t mean they’ll all be back next year. Even if they do all come back, that doesn’t negate the unprecedented pass that the NCAA gave them for the Sugar Bowl any more than Cam’s leaving negates his unprecedented double-top-secret 12 hour suspension for ineligibility.
The NCAA has a lot of ’splaining to do, but the sports media is too afraid of “damaging their product” to seek the truth. Might as well watch Professional Wrestling next Fall. They have just as much integrity as CFB now.

2 months vacation at the beginning of the year and you were just gone not long ago.
I see an opportunity for AJC to can you and save some money vs making the paper any smaller and thinner. Besides a kid could do you job given the resources you have at your disposal.
You rate a 7, Tony.

Shameful in my opinion. Just heard that Cam Newton will leave Auburn after only earning less than 6 college credits. Very very embarrassed.
Maybe we can get Bret Farve for next season

Attention, everyone, especially dawgtards. We will now observe a moment of silence in memory of Saint Jan Kemp, who exposed the shameful practices at UGA that were initiated and carried out by slimeball Vince Dooley. Dooley’s image as a coach and a nice guy were forever shattered during the trial, not to mention the one million dollars that dawgtards had to pay Saint Jan. These practices of recruiting morons and coddling them for four years, them tossing them out like garbage, are still going on, but at least the world knows what’s happening in Athens now.
And now, the moment of silence…

That’s 6 more credits than he would have earned in Athens.
