Auburn beats Alabama at the buzzer

Man, a whole bunch of stuff is going to happen in the next 48 hours. I’ll make this quick because I’m headed out the door to Tuscaloosa:

1. Auburn at Alabama: I have heard a lot of reasons why Alabama is going to win this game and all them make sense. I am certainly not going to be shocked if the Crimson Tide prevails in the Iron Bowl, particularly if Alabama quarterback Greg McElroy has a good day throwing the ball. But Auburn has been a very resilient team under pressure and I just think the Tigers will find a way to win.  Auburn will get the last possession and Cam Newton will drive the Tigers into position for Wes Byrum to kick the game-winning field goal: Auburn 27, Alabama 24.

2. Georgia Tech at Georgia: Both teams have had disappointing seasons but right now I just think Georgia has more athletes, particularly on the offensive side of the ball. Georgia Tech will have to commit an extra defender to stop the run and then Aaron Murray and A.J. Green will make some big plays in the passing game. Georgia 31, Georgia Tech 21.

3. LSU at Arkansas (Little Rock): This looks like a dangerous game for LSU (10-1) because Arkansas quarterback Ryan Mallett has thrown for over 300 yards eight times this season. But I just can’t bet against Les Miles and this LSU team, which will find yet another way to win. LSU 28, Arkansas 27.

4. Kentucky at Tennessee: Tennessee (5-6) has beaten Kentucky 25 straight times and needs another win to qualify for a bowl. Kentucky (6-5) has had a tough time stopping anybody. I’m looking for a shootout. Tennessee 35, Kentucky 31.

5. Mississippi State at Ole Miss:  Mississippi State (7-4) has four losses to No. 2 Auburn, No. 5 LSU, No. 11 Alabama, and No. 12 Arkansas. The Bulldogs are a good football team that has beaten Georgia and Florida. Mississippi State 31, Ole Miss 17.

6. Florida at Florida State:  I’m just not sure how fired up the Gators are going to be to play anybody this week. Florida State wins this game and hopes that Maryland beats N.C. State. That would give the Seminoles a trip to next week’s ACC championship game. Florida State 28, Florida 21.

7.  South Carolina at Clemson: South Carolina is not going to overextend itself because the SEC championship game with Auburn is coming up next week. Marcus Lattimore gets the ball less than 10 times and the game is close. South Carolina 17, Clemson 10.

8. N.C. State at Maryland: A win puts N.C. State into the ACC championship game against Virginia Tech. A Maryland win puts Florida State into the ACC title game. N.C. State has Russell Wilson at quarterback and that should be enough. N.C. State 24, Maryland 20.

9. Oklahoma at Oklahoma State: Oklahoma State (10-1) leads the nation in total offense with 552 yards and 45.27 points per game. A win puts the Cowboys into their first-ever Big 12 championship game. Go with the Pokes because they simply have too many weapons. Oklahoma State 28, Oklahoma 24.

10. Michigan at Ohio State: The Buckeyes (10-1) are trying to win their seventh straight game over Michigan and to lock up a BCS bowl for the sixth straight season. They will do both.  Ohio State 28, Michigan 10.

AltaDawg just like Jim Harrick did and what Jan Kemp exposed. UGA is really getting these players educations they can USE! Yes, as handicap stickers for the best parking spots and very little else.

You are right…it was a source…I think cam’s dad tried to back track and say it was only him thinking he could keep his son out of trouble for his actions…but what he didn’t realize is that it won’t.

I think Lee wanted way way to much money. I think it was good for the Braves. Uggla was great. I just worry about Chipper and what do we do if he can’t play 2 months into the season?

Each week it’s always something different, more whining by you, more winning by AU and more losing for you UGA fans. All i heard two weeks ago was how bad the Dawgs were gonna beat AU, this week it was how bad Bama was gonna beat us, hopefully this week it will be how bad SC will beat us, and how Cam will be ineligible and we’re gonna get the death penalty..You folks obviously dont know S*** about football or whats going on behind the ncaa and sec..But, typical Dawg fan

I am happy AU will be playing in the SEC championship game, and I am happy we have a shot at a NC, but all in all, yesterday MADE THE WHOLE YEAR WORTHWHILE…

2010 IronBowl Champs!!!!
7-1 all-time in Bear Bryant’s Denny’s
8 of the the last 11 Overall vs Bamtards.

And the fact that the UGA fans are STILL whining makes that win 2 weeks ago even better with a age, like fine wine…or at least the wine with a screw cap that UGA and BAMA fans would buy.

Mike P,
NCAA has NOT been all over this since January. City of Newnan sounds surprsied that the NCAA hasn’t even asked to see the City’s file on Cecil’s church.

Wow – Now the Auburn folks (at least the ones on this blog – I have not heard anyone officially connected with the University say any of this) are denying that Cecil admitted agreeing to accept money. Live in denial if you must, and, apparently this is so vital to your lives, that you, well, must. Now that is truly pitiful.

Your own fans, including ATL is Tiger Town, who claims to be a personal friend of the AU AD, gave a detailed account only yesterday about Cecil’s admissions. Previously, the Auburn folk simply said that Cam had no personal knowledge of his father’s “doings” (although they were willing to admit Cecil had in fact been guilty of those “doings.) and he was therefore innocent. Then they said no money changed hands, although they admitted discussions about money had occurred with Cecil being a part of the conversations. In fact, that was originally the position of CGC. Apparently after being informed that Cam’s personal innocence was not the issue, the University folks quickly went from adamantly defending Cam to saying “no comment” on advice of lawyers.

Now, the defense changes once again, at least among the uninformed on this blog, to Cecil never admitted anything. Well, yes he did. And that, my friends, is the problem.

And to the lame above, dragging a QB DOWN by his jersey when you are lower than he is is NOT slamming him down..thats why it wasn’t flagged. You people really should stick to watching peewee flag football, but my guess is you would pick fights with the other parents ..

All these so-called rednecks on this blog, get over yourselves. UGA tried to get Cam Newton as a tight end or defensive back LOL. No wonder that school will never get any championship with that kind of thinking and mindset. So all of ya’ll go ahead with your stupid allegations & comments, Cam is going to get some REAL GOOD money next year in the NFL.

P.S. numbnuts, he’s not going to jail on any of these “rumors”.

Do not try to argue with Mike P. He has been spewing this same garbage on every blog. No evidence, he is still playing, this is about Mississippi St. He only tries to read or has someone read to him article that reflect the greatness of Auburn. We all know he is wrong and Auburn on top looks all shiney and pretty, but the underbelly is full of warts and blemishes, and soon to be major cuts……

Pacing the floor, 24/7, wringing your hands, waiting like bait for SOMETHING you can seize upon to try your best to discredit us. Surfing the net, spending hours RESEARCHING third party anonymous stories, grabbing at EVERY newspaper you can, cutting and pasting links in a blog to TRY and prove your pointless obsession. Guess what? The NCAA is done and Cam is ELIGIBLE!! If they can’t discredit us, do you HONESTLY you can by blogging and lying and stretching your obsessed imagination. Surely you are tired of trying to mount that dead horse by now!!

ALABAMA DECLARED IN STATE OF EMERGENCY…..

As of 6:30 last night, Alabama has declared itself a state of emergency for the Tide Nation. Bryce Institution filled to capacity last night and is forced to turn away thousands, suicide hotlines are jammed, rash of wife-beatings, drunken brawls with neighbors, torching of strip malls, looting of BAMA memorabillia to be able to live in the past, entire trailer parks are being set afire, bricks being hurled through the house windows of Bama coaching staff, attempted toppling of Nick Saban statue.

Nick Fairley is a complete thug.

Julio Jones was seen making bets at VictoryLand this summer! Guess those FBI agents are going to announce that soon. Bama will receive the death penalty after finding boosters supported a gambling habit. Bama will also be stripped of their 9-3 season. Just Wait! NCAA will bring the hammer down even further! And because BAMA is ALREADY on probation, the death penalty will happen.

Oh..whatever happened to Julio and Ingram after the free fishing trips they received last year? Some guy they just happened to meet at the beach provided them with “free” fishing trips. Who does that? Look further and you’ll find some booster paid this guy to do their dirty work and hide the money trail!!!!

Why aren’t the Bama fans explaining those fishing trips for Julio and Ingram and who REALLY paid for them? The fishing trips were investigated last year but funny how your coach still let them play! Bama cheats! Those players should have been suspended and Bama sanctioned!!! Oh, the Booster paid off someone at the NCAA. It was a conspiracy on their part to make sure Bama won the National Championship. So what we want to know is WHICH Bama booster funneled money through the “stranger” at the beach?!!??
