Auburn beats Alabama at the buzzer

Man, a whole bunch of stuff is going to happen in the next 48 hours. I’ll make this quick because I’m headed out the door to Tuscaloosa:

1. Auburn at Alabama: I have heard a lot of reasons why Alabama is going to win this game and all them make sense. I am certainly not going to be shocked if the Crimson Tide prevails in the Iron Bowl, particularly if Alabama quarterback Greg McElroy has a good day throwing the ball. But Auburn has been a very resilient team under pressure and I just think the Tigers will find a way to win.  Auburn will get the last possession and Cam Newton will drive the Tigers into position for Wes Byrum to kick the game-winning field goal: Auburn 27, Alabama 24.

2. Georgia Tech at Georgia: Both teams have had disappointing seasons but right now I just think Georgia has more athletes, particularly on the offensive side of the ball. Georgia Tech will have to commit an extra defender to stop the run and then Aaron Murray and A.J. Green will make some big plays in the passing game. Georgia 31, Georgia Tech 21.

3. LSU at Arkansas (Little Rock): This looks like a dangerous game for LSU (10-1) because Arkansas quarterback Ryan Mallett has thrown for over 300 yards eight times this season. But I just can’t bet against Les Miles and this LSU team, which will find yet another way to win. LSU 28, Arkansas 27.

4. Kentucky at Tennessee: Tennessee (5-6) has beaten Kentucky 25 straight times and needs another win to qualify for a bowl. Kentucky (6-5) has had a tough time stopping anybody. I’m looking for a shootout. Tennessee 35, Kentucky 31.

5. Mississippi State at Ole Miss:  Mississippi State (7-4) has four losses to No. 2 Auburn, No. 5 LSU, No. 11 Alabama, and No. 12 Arkansas. The Bulldogs are a good football team that has beaten Georgia and Florida. Mississippi State 31, Ole Miss 17.

6. Florida at Florida State:  I’m just not sure how fired up the Gators are going to be to play anybody this week. Florida State wins this game and hopes that Maryland beats N.C. State. That would give the Seminoles a trip to next week’s ACC championship game. Florida State 28, Florida 21.

7.  South Carolina at Clemson: South Carolina is not going to overextend itself because the SEC championship game with Auburn is coming up next week. Marcus Lattimore gets the ball less than 10 times and the game is close. South Carolina 17, Clemson 10.

8. N.C. State at Maryland: A win puts N.C. State into the ACC championship game against Virginia Tech. A Maryland win puts Florida State into the ACC title game. N.C. State has Russell Wilson at quarterback and that should be enough. N.C. State 24, Maryland 20.

9. Oklahoma at Oklahoma State: Oklahoma State (10-1) leads the nation in total offense with 552 yards and 45.27 points per game. A win puts the Cowboys into their first-ever Big 12 championship game. Go with the Pokes because they simply have too many weapons. Oklahoma State 28, Oklahoma 24.

10. Michigan at Ohio State: The Buckeyes (10-1) are trying to win their seventh straight game over Michigan and to lock up a BCS bowl for the sixth straight season. They will do both.  Ohio State 28, Michigan 10.

NO affiliation with Bama? Well THAT makes it even MORE questionable. WHAT Auburn fan would GIVE free, expensive trips to TWO ALABAMA PLAYERS?? Well anyone can be bought, isn’t that what you’ve said about Auburn? So a booster paid the STRANGER enough money to keep his mouth shut! We just want to know HOW MUCH? I guess he paid off the STRANGER’s beachhouse condo in order to secretly funnel money for the pleasure of Julio and Ingram! Bama cheats! They pay off people to do their dirty work and keep the money trail hidden.

Go to go ,my time at the Library is up, just wanted to show how idiotic you Auburn fans really are and how blind the to the truth you really are….just remember Pete Carrol sat on the BCS stage and within 10 days he is gone and USC got hammered, how long will it take before the Auburn money game is revealed as a ponzi scheme?

Why aren’t the Bama fans explaining those fishing trips for Julio and Ingram and who REALLY paid for them? The fishing trips were investigated last year but funny how your coach still let them play! Bama cheats! Those players should have been suspended and Bama sanctioned!!! Oh, the Booster paid off someone at the NCAA. It was a conspiracy on their part to make sure Bama won the National Championship. So what we want to know is WHICH Bama booster funneled money through the “stranger” at the beach?!!??

I had to post this…it’s no different than what Bama fans have been saying about Auburn!

Actually, Alabama declared them ineligible and applied for reinstatement pending investigation. Aubie didn’t with Cam.

Bama dude, difference IS there was proof, NOT rumor and third party anonymous sources. All the garbage spewing about Cam is all inuendo and wishful thinking on the part of Bama and Dawg fans. There is NO proof and never was. Everything is hearsay and neither the FBI or the NCAA have uncovered anything illegal or out of the ordinary after review of the Newton’s personal accounts or the church accounting records. If it was there, they would have found it ALREADY! And from what IS known, Cecil’s church is nothing but a run-down empty commercial store space…even AFTER the ALLEGED money he is falsely accused of having. And Cam drives a moped around campus – not a car! So much for all that money! huh?

Please don’t belittle yourselves and get the whole world questioning your ability to spell or actually complete a sentence… and say something like “rolle tyde….duh, scratch, …helll yea…” y’all f-in tigers need a team” ooooh yea …y’all need a team, WAR EAGLE!!

Tony,
This question is for you.. How would you like to meet Spurrier for the second time this year with the SEC title riding on the game? Oh and by the way Steve Spurrier is not one of my favorites (I am an avid Ga. Bulldog football fan for 49 years). But we must give credit where it is due. The man is one of the best college football coaches that has ever coached the game.

I done told you to stop making fun of everybody because me and Cam is going to the NFL at the end of this year. These NCAA boys ask way too many questions for me; Where you get them new cars ?, How you get your church fixed ?, How’d I get so good at video bingo?, How can I pick the winning dog at the dog track every time? so forth and so on… Pat Dye says just say NO COMMENT but them boys is flat out aggrevating. AUBIE,

Sorry dude but all your 6th grade comments about missing teeth, farm animals, etc. can’t change what’s obviously coming with the NCAA. If you’re going to be insulting then please be original. I mean come on dude. You can’t do any better than the stale old stuff about missing teeth, trailers, and farm animals? Is that the best you can do? Man that is weak.

Its obvious that you never went to college or that if you did that it was indeed AU you went to. Its obvious because your wit- or rather lack thereof- is truly appalling.

Now please amuse me. Try to come up with something original rather than juvenile 6th grade stuff if you really want to insult me. I’m waiting Aubie. Please don’t disappoint me.

Funny how quiet all these guys got and lawyered up once the news got out about the FBI wiretapping their conversations and accidentally stumbling upon the pay for play conversations while they were looking into rico violations, voter fraud, illegal gambling, etc. The FBI doesn’t get involved in something like college athletics unless something is there.

So why would the FBI be getting involved in investigating college athletics if there’s nothing there??? Since when does the FBI get involved in this stuff anyway? Hmmmh.

The FBI is involved with illegal gambling and betting in Mississippi and more to the point the booster who (allegedly) was approached for cash. Also the agency was involved in looking into a Pay-For-Politics agenda by a booster at Auburn. This has been all over the news / sports world, I don’t see how you could’ve missed it…… HINT: The FBI is involved with FEDERAL cases / laws NOT college football. If you’re curious as to what the FBI does, please go to their website. This page will take you to the “What We Investigate” page.

FROM the TMZ Webpage:

Milton McGregor — a dog track owner arrested last month for allegedly bribing Alabama politicians to vote pro gambling.

We’re told agents asked someone connected to the Newton case if he was familiar with McGregor or the bribery scandal.

It’s unclear what, if any, direct connection McGregor has to Newton. Back in 2008, McGregor did donate a million bucks toward construction of a new arena at Auburn.

McGregor did not return a call for comment.

UPDATE 4:00PM PST: Milton McGregor’s attorney tells TMZ his client has “never had any contact – direct or indirect – with Cam Newton, Cecil Newton, Cam’s father; Kenny Rogers or anyone purporting to represent Cam Newton.” He also says McGregor has never compensated student athletes at Auburn or any other school.

Yes, Dear katherine, just as I told you it was another anomymous source. Everything that’s come out of this Cam Newton stuff is from unknown sources. All smoke, no substance. I can’t believe how stupid some of you think the SEC and NCAA are. If there was anything wrong at Auburn, in 10 months they would have found SOMETHING. Auburn is clean.

In the meantime, Auburn is 12-0 and rockin’ on to a National Championship!

Mr. College Football, you blasted Todd Grantham for his choke gesture and possibly you should have. Now, I wonder if you are going to call out Coach Johnson for his comments to Georgia players as the tech team tried to incite the Dawgs before the game. Just ask CPJ if he said anything to any Georgia player during that tech attempt to intimidate the Dawgs, and if he did, ask him what he said. He mouthed off to the players according to more than one Georgia player and coach and there is no place for that just as there was no place for what Grantham did, There is no way Mark Richt would smart mouth an opposing player. Are you going to let this go, or will you call him on the carpet. I have looked at the tape in slow motion and CPJ is clearly leading this, but what more would you expect from a classless outfit?
