Let’s talk Bama-Texas
Kickoff is less than 20 minutes away and I’m picking Alabama to beat Texas 24-13. An Alabama victory would give the SEC it’s fourth straight national championship.
I’ll share a few thoughts as the game unfolds. I’ll be interested to read your take on the game .
Let’s start here. I just don’t think Texas is going to be able to block Alabama’s defensive front well enough to give quarterback Colt McCoy any room to operate. Am I wrong?

What if Saban loses this. Couldn’t happen? If someone told you Utah would rout Bama last year would you have believed it. TN one kick from knocking Bama out, Auburn 1:24 from knocking Bama out and lot of other closer than should have been games.

Here is a quetion Tony, why doesn’t someone call Musbureger on saying that Smart is an Alabmama Grad, and why is Pete Carrol getting a recruiting advantage by being on Tv as an analyst?
I really haven’t complained about you, but does Texas look as out of synch in peson as they do on the tube?

Just because the two clowns talking from your TV say it was interference does not make it so. I watched both of their claimed calls in slow motion on DVR and there was no interference…Texas receiver actually pushed off on both. Very clear in slow motion.

Are you Mike Shula? If so, I was always a big fan of you and your Dad. I think you did a good job of holding down the fort at the Capstone, and if it weren’t for 2 broken legs, you probably could have competed for an NC in 2005.

Tony – do you feel that any of our backs at GT are capable of replacing Dwyer as the #1 back? I just don’t see Allen or Roddy Jones being a physical back like 24 was.

They said earlier on tv that Texas Tech wants to interview Kirby Smart for their HC job — he may not be at either Bama or UGA.

Not Shula but I think Bama did not give him enough time. What the hell has Saban done for him to be anointed (sp) King. Anybody that watched this game has reasonable doubt what would have happened had McCoy been in there. Another TD, and two points. Saban is an idiiot regardless of the outcome.

Tony, why is that Coach Johnson’s perfect option has averaged 5 points per game on offense for his 2 bowl games at GT? This team is built for scoring in bunches and we have flopped the last 2 postseasons.

I just flipped the game back on expecting it to be 50-6 and it’s 24-21!!!!!!!! How is Bama not wearing out Texas without Colt McCoy????????? I don’t believe in moral victories, especially those claimed by Tennessee fans, but I might have to make an exception here. Makes you wonder if McCoy had not been injured….
