Happy Thanksgiving. See you Friday.

Like you, I’m thankful for a lot of things today.

I’m thankful for my family, who understood that we would never live a “normal” life because of this crazy profession I’ve chosen.

I’m thankful to be making a living doing something I truly love because I see so many people doing things they don’t love.

I’m thankful that Furman Bisher is still writing his “I’m Thankful” columns. I hope he goes on for another 90 years.

And I’m thankful for all of you. We may disagree and I know there are times when you think I’ve lost my mind. But I tell my friends in the business that while I sometimes disagree with the folks who read and respond in this space, you are the most knowledgeable, passionate group of college football fans on the planet.

And for that I will always be thankful.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your families.

Thankful for Tony, his writings and thoughts with regards to College Football. Yeah, we here in the southland think football is a southern thing,, a culture only understandable by a southeastern US type of people,, guess what,, it is. So, thanks Tony. You might go hungry living and trying to make a living in some other region of the USA.

Jake,

“we here in the southland” So do you live closer to the 110, the 5 or the dreaded 405? No, well then maybe the 710 or the 605? See we here in SoCal call this the “Southland” though I “guess” y’all can call where you live that too. (LOL)

Tony,

I am thankful for three healthy if not always “happy” teenagers and I am thankful to have a career that I too love and have much passion for. I am thankful that our country is safe (for the most part) and that we haven’t had another terrible repeat/day like 9/11. And I am thankful for a site like this that allows those of us that are passionate about collge football (USC Rocks!!) to carry on and exchange differing viewpoints.

A very Happy Thanksgiving too you and your family and to all the friends and families throughout the “Southland” whether you be ACC or SEC or PAC 10!!!

Fight On!!!

Woe, Georgia has a LOT to be thankful for with FINALLY playing a weaker team than Tenn Tech!!

Stoops 6-5 in 2009
Paterno 3-9, 4-7 2003-2004
Patterson 6-6. 5-6 in 2004

Who cares if they’re all in top 10 winningest % of all-time, they obviously can’t coach college football.

Send them to the gallows and off with their heads.

I’ve completed my sophisticated analysis of Georgia vs. Ga. Tech, and here we go:

44-31 Tech
37-35 Georgia
42-40 Tech
41-40 Georgia
42-37 Tech
45-35 Georgia

That’s what I think. Go Jackets, and I hope your team plays their best, Dawgs!

I am thankful to be a natural born citizen of the greatest nation in this world. I am glad to see rivals set aside their differences on this day, the greatest of American holidays. I am thankful for my friends and family. I am thankful for the men and women that see fit to protect and preserve our freedom. I am thankful that my grandfather and big brother both taught me how to use my brain. I am thankful my step-father taught me how to work with my hands. I am thankful for aptitude good enough for entry to Tech, but the wisdom to be a Dawg.

I am thankful that my team has one of the greatest coaches in the country, despite what the mindless vocal minority may say.

Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Happy Thanksgiving to all in the SEC where we know the reality, ‘06,’07, ‘08 LSU, and FLA made Buckeye bait. Now you got the A.C.C. talking, saying” who are we in the SEC”? . Well here come Alabama, And Fla again to show the world this our land. There’s others like Ole Miss, USC, Tenn, Auburn and UGA who even when down gonna give Tech a bad day. Stuff yourselves with all the best, talk about teams from the east to the west. But when all is said and done it won’t be the ACC saying who’s number 1. So Happy Thankgiving to all but remember you will never play tougher than SEC BALL.!!!!

I am thankful for the beautiful Saturday’s in the fall. Tailgating in anticipation of the game. Blowing off a little steam with an appropriate number of adult beverages. Hearing the drum corps warming up and then the band cranking out the fight song. Making my way to stadium to the stadium with the throngs of amped up fans, young and old. Coming through the stadium aisle and taking in the band on the field, the gorgious baton twirlers and flag corps, the bright colors splashed in brilliant sunshine. Hearing the roar come up in anticipation of the teams coming on field. My we college football junkies are a privileged bunch. Good luck to all this weekend.
