PAC-10 is a formidable conference. 4 of top 25 BCS teams, and Stanford #25 in the AP poll. Half the teams are ranked! Which bowl do I go to?

Until a playoff is established and championship games are played on neutral sites you will have no real way of determining what conferences play the best football. The current playing field is simply not level.

Homer,

Army didn’t “WAX” Vandy. They were fortunate enough to end the game in a tie and even more fortunate to have a kick bounce off of the upright and fall through for a field goal.

That said, Vandy and MSU ARE the perennial whipping boys of the SEC. That’s why ACC teams want to schedule them. It allows the ACC to pretend that they play real football.

Putting the B10 ahead of the Pac10 is laughable. Iowa is their standard-bearer.

With Duke beating Army so badly and Vandy getting waxed by Army.
And with the ACC’s top 3 being just as strong as the SEC’s top 3, arguably, the ACC is either tied with the SEC or better.

It is also very difficult to gauge the SEC when they only play 14 BCS+ games and UGA is playing 3 of them!
I don’t see how the SEC can be crowned anything when they rarely play BCS+ games out of conference.

I am an ACC fan.

1. SEC totally and completely unarguably the best…They only have 5 non-conference loses and all except Vandy’s lose to Army where bottom feeder SEC teams vs. Decent opponents… If your a fan of the game watching the best in the SEC play football is like watching the all-stars of every other league play. Debating this fact makes you look less than smart.

2-5
ACC, Big 12, Big 10, big East….At this point its an opinion, there are about as many even facts going both ways.

6. MWC – Atleast their offenses are fun to watch, and wow do they embarrass the PAC-10 now-a-days.

7. Pac-10 If it wasn’t for USC you shouldn’t even be a BCS conference. They say the ACC is bad because they are inconsistent, but the PAC-10 just prove that consistency isn’t everything cause you could be consistently bad.

Sun, C-USA Does it really matter whose 8 or 9…your last or close to last you dont get a medal…

Rankings mean squat with the season only half over. It’s just a snapshot of the shuffle that corrects the pre-season polls. We’ll see who has what in a few weeks.

Sixth? If that, and that alone, doesn’t show a bias, then nothing does. Try to stay up late and watch some west-coast games. Or does you mommy tuck you in too early for that?

Some expert you are there Tony – Iowa never “rallied” to beat Arkansas St. They got up early cruised the rest of the way through. They shouldn’t have let up by any means and allowed stAte to come back but Iowa never trailed the Red Wolves so hence needed no rallying to win.
